Wednesday’s taped NXT television show produced 712,000 viewers for USA Network, according to Showbuzzdaily.com. The number was down from the 769,000 viewers who watched last week’s show.
Powell’s POV: AEW won the battle last night with 828,000 viewers. NXT finished 37th in the 18-49 demographic, while AEW Dynamite finished third in the same category.
Thankfully the Dusty Rhodes Classic is over. Made it must miss TV for NXT.
I generally love tournaments in wrestling and in fact I think AEW should do something like an 8-man tournament to crown a midcard title champ – maybe an AEW television title – but I have to agree that this edition of the Dusty classic was not good. Not sure why exactly, but it didn’t really hold my interest.
