Fenix suffered a muscle contusion during a match at Friday’s AAW Wrestling event in Austin, Texas. Fenix and Pentagon Jr. were teaming against Myron Reed and AR Fox in the main event of the show when Fenix suffered the injury. The AAW Twitter page addressed the injury with the following statement: “He has been treated and released from the hospital with a muscle contusion. He is feeling good and will be back up to 100% after some rest.”
Powell’s POV: There was a lot of concern about Fenix coming out of the match, but fortunately it appears that he avoided a major injury. Fenix and Pentagon just dropped the MLW Tag Titles, won the Impact and AAW Tag Titles, and appeared at the All Elite Wrestling rally in Las Vegas to set up a match with the Young Bucks for Double Or Nothing.
UPDATE on @ReyFenixMx – He has been treated and released from the hospital with a muscle contusion. He is feeling good and will be back up to 100% after some rest.
We thank you all for your concern and for making #LUCHACITY such wonderful time!
