WWE is advertising John Cena for the premiere of Smackdown on USA Network. WWE hyped Cena’s appearance several times at Tuesday’s Smackdown taping, and he is listed for next week’s taping on the WWE live events page.
Powell’s POV: WWE previously announced that Mauro Ranallo will take over as the voice of Smackdown. Ranallo has stated in interviews that he was unaware of who his broadcast team partner(s) will be. Smackdown will be taped on Tuesday in Laredo, Texas at Laredo Energy Center and will air Thursday on USA Network at 7:00 p.m. CT. We are looking for correspondents for the taping.
