The following matches are advertised for the WWE Royal Rumble, which will be held on January 29 in San Antonio, Texas at the Alamodome.
-The 30-man Royal Rumble (Goldberg and Brock Lesnar are the only advertised entrants).
-Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship with Chris Jericho in a shark cage.
Powell’s POV: It looks like they are building to Charlotte vs. Bayley for the Raw Women’s Championship and Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax matches. It remains to be seen who AJ Styles will defend the WWE Championship against, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see a Smackdown Women’s Championship match on the four-hour show. There are plenty of active programs, but it’s hard to say who will in the Rumble and which feuds will play out on television since we still have over a month to go before the Rumble.
