Brian Cage followed his Impact World Championship win with a visit to the emergency room following his match with Johnny Impact. Impact Wrestling announced that Cage was taken to the hospital after the show, and Melissa Santos noted on her social media that Cage was treated for a back injury.
Powell’s POV: Cage took a Spanish Fly from the ramp to the floor. He was clearly having some issues given the amount of talking that he and Impact did once they returned to the ring. Cage somehow managed to finish the match and even took a sit-out powerbomb from the debuting Michael Elgin afterward. The timing of the injury is rough, as Impact will be taping television tonight in Toronto, and again on Friday and Saturday in Philadelphia. Here’s wishing Cage the best.
BREAKING: @MrGMSI_BCage has been rushed to the emergency room after his match with @TheRealMorrison. More updates to come.

Not how I wanted or ever imagined this incredible night would end. I’ve chased this moment and have dreamt about this my entire life. And to have this be the outcome, I’d be lying if I said it didn’t break my heart. pic.twitter.com/Ogj7lD7L0x
