-The WWE Backlash event received a majority D grade vote with 38 percent of the vote. F was the second place vote and only 9 percent of the voters graded the show as higher than a C. I gave the event a D- grade with the opening match and the quality of the AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura match before the finish saving the show from an F grade. The best match on the show was Seth Rollins vs. The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship with 83 percent of the vote. The duo also received the best match for the four-way match with Samoa Joe and Finn Balor at the Greatest Royal Rumble the week before.
-Monday’s WWE Raw received a majority vote of D as the letter grade with 36 percent of the vote. I also gave the show a D as it really dragged and felt like a marathon show.
-Tuesday’s WWE Smackdown Live received a majority vote of B as the letter grade with 44 percent of the vote. I agree with the voters.
Birthdays and Notables
-Tito Santana (Merced Solis) is 65.
-William Regal (Darren Matthews) is 50.
