WWE Live Event
Glasgow, Scotland at the SSE Hydro
Report by Dot Net reader Brian
The Hydro’s top section was blacked off and I would say there were about 9,000 in attendance.
1. Asuka defeated Mickie James. Asuka took around two minutes to come out once her entrance music came on. Asuka went over. The crowd was ultra flat.
2. The Miz (w/Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas) beat Matt Hardy to retain the Intercontinental Title. Axel was in a neck brace. Miz won with Skull crushing finale.
3. Jason Jordan, Goldust, Rhyno, and Heath Slater beat Elias, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, and Bo Dallas in an eight-man tag.Jason scored the pin on Anderson.
4. Enzo Amore defeated Kalisto to retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. There was a big pop for Enzo despite his heelish ways. Enzo won clean.
5. Pete Dunne defeated Wolfgang to retain the WWE UK Championship. Hometown boy Wolfgang got decent pop, but Pete came out on top.
6. Braun Strowman defeated Kane by DQ. A short unadvertised match ending in DQ when Kane hit Stroman with chair. Stroman then put Kane through table to huge pop he was over big time.
7. Sasha Banks and Bayley beat Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss. A good match. Bayley is loved in the UK big time. Alexa tapped out to the Bank Statement.
8. Finn Balor beat Samoa Joe. An excellent fast paced match. Balor beat the unadvertised Joe with the Coup De Grace.
9. Triple H, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins beat Bray Wyatt, Cesaro, and Sheamus. A Triple Powerbomb from the replacement version of The Sheld on Cesaro sent the crowd home happy. Personally, I felt if Triple H hadn’t revealed he was wrestling it would have been an awesome surprise, but the biggest reaction was for HHH followed by Balor and The Shield members.
