John Cena will return on the December 27 edition of WWE Smackdown Live in Chicago, Illinois. WWE also announced that the AJ Styles vs. Dolph Ziggler match for the WWE Championship will also take place on the same show.
Powell’s POV: It’s rare that WWE advertises something for television more than a week out, so it looks like they are serious about loading up the final edition of Smackdown in 2016. It’s worth noting that Raw and Smackdown will be running in Chicago’s Allstate Arena on December 26-27, so perhaps some of the incentive is to sell more tickets for the second night of back-to-back shows.
