TNA Impact (Episode 1,094)
Taped June 20, 2025, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at UPMC Events Center
Simulcast July 10, 2025, on AXS TV and TNA+
Highlights from last week’s TNA Impact aired…
Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt were on commentary. McKenzie Mitchell was the ring announcer…
The show started out with the Personal Concierge already in the ring doing his cheap heat routine. He said that Pittsburgh is a cesspool and in a huge need for an enema. He did his usual over the top introduction for the Elegance Brand, and drew extra heat by mentioning Cleveland (Do the Stealers and Browns have some big rivalry that I don’t remember?).
The Elegance Brand made their entrance and got booed because Ash tore a Terrible Towel. Their opponent were Myla Grace and Holly Hudson…
1. TNA Women’s Tag Team Champions “The Elegance Brand” Ash and Heather by Elegance (w/The Personal Concierge, M by Elegance) vs. Myla Grace and Holly Hudson in a non-title match. Grace hit Heather with a CQC combo and running kick. Hudson and Ash tagged in. Hudson and Ash did a Test of Strength. Ash kicked Hudson, but Hudson stood her ground and took down Ash with a hip toss.
Heather tagged in and took down Hudson and choked her on the rope. Ash and Heather hit Hudson with their signature running strikes in the corner. Ash and Heather hit Hudson with a double team Implant Buster. Hudson and Heather took each other out with clotehslines. Ash and Grace tagged in with Grace having momentum. Grace and Hudson sent their opponents into each other.
Grace rolled up Ash for a two count. Ash took down Grace with a clothesline and then hit her with Rarefied Air (Swanton Bomb) for the clean win.
The Elegance Brand defeated Myla Grace and Holly Hudson via pinfall in 6:19.
John’s Thoughts: A good tune up match for the Elegance Brand and refreshing to see heels get a clean win. Grace and Hudson have great unique looks, and I see them being big players in the Knockouts Division (specifically in the Singles division because they look like two singles wrestlers). They are fine eating losses at this point of their careers as they have time to develop characters and credibility in the ring.
Gia Miller interviewed The Hardys, Zach Wentz and Myron Reed about their upcoming match later in the show. Wentz introduced Reed to the Hardys. They then hyped up how they are going to win later on. Wentz jokingly called out Reed who wore red gear when the Rascalz usually wear neon green…
Hannifan hyped upcoming segments…[c]
Cedric Alexander, Tasha Steelz, John Skyler, and Jason Hotch all came out to Cedric’s entrance theme. Their opponents were Mustafa Ali’s “Secret Service”. Ali walked to the back…
2. Cedric Alexander, John Skyler, and Jason Hotch (w/Tasha Steelz) vs. “Mustafa Ali’s Secret Service” (3 unnamed wrestlers). Hotch and Skyler used quick tags to hit one of the guys with tandem offense. The guy managed to hit Hotch with a clothesline when the other guys distracted Hotch. One unnamed guy gave Hotch a body slam. Hotch came back with a enzuigiri. Cedric Alexander and a random guy tagged in.
Cedric cleaned house with suplexes. Cedric cleared two guys with a PK and dropkick. Skyler speared a guy on the apron. Hotch hit two guys with a Triangle Moonsault. Cedric Alexander hit a Secret Service guy with the lumbar check for the win.
Cedric Alexander, Jason Hotch, and John Skyler defeated Mustafa Ali’s Secret Service via pinfall in 2:41.
Mustafa Ali stormed the ring and cleared Hotch and Skyler from the ring. Ali tried to hit Cedric with a chair, but Cedric got the upper hand after avoiding the shot. Cedric lifted up Ali, but Tasha Steelz entered the ring and gave Cedric a low blow. Ali gave Cedric a chairshot to the back for good measure. The camera showed Ali glaring at Tasha, shocked at what she did. Steelz left and Ali left following her looking confused…

John’s Thoughts: Very interesting! The match was meh, especially with the three NPC randos. The stuff afterwards was well done and a good kind of surprising. It’ll be interesting to see how they progress things with Hotch and Skyler, were they all up in Tasha’s manipulation? Or did Tasha use them like she used Cedric, like she used Ali. Or is this a result of her trying to get in Ali’s good graces last minute due to the Stockholm Syndrome. If Hotch and Skyler weren’t into it, then they’d definitely be mad at Tasha for manipulating them. (Again, It didn’t need the cosplay politician stuff) But I like the complexity and layers of this Order 4 stuff. On top of that! We’re getting a match that we know is proven to be a top tier match every week in Cedric and Ali given their time as the heart and soul of 205 Live.
Entrances for the next match took place…
3. Masha Slamovich and Lei Ying Lee (w/Xia Brookside) vs. “Fatal Influence” Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley (w/Jazmyn Nyx). Jayne rallied with chops on Lee and then tagged in Henley who hit Lee with a diving clothesline for a two count. Masha tagged in and she used Lee as a battering ram on Henley. Lee tagged in and hit Henley with a low, mid, and high kick combo.
Jayne blind tagged in and nailed Lee with a kick. Henley hit Lee with a Tiger Feint for a two count.[c]
Fatal Influence cut the ring in half on Lee with quick tags. This lasted a few minutes. Lee got a window of opportunity after catching Henley with a springboard crossbody. Jayne and Masha tagged in with Masha cleaning house. Masha got a two count on Jayne. Masha caught Jayne with a Savate Kick. Jayne came back with a Yakuza Kick. Henley tagged in and hit Masha with a blockbuster.
Jayne hit Masha with a running knee. Lee broke up Henley’s pin. Henley took down Masha with a twisting X Factor for a nearfall. Lee was dumped to ringside. Masha caught Henley with a kick. Jayne caught Masha with a Superkick. Lee dragged Jayne to ringside to prevent a double team move. Masha hit Henley with a Savate Kick and Snow Plow for the win.
Masha Slamovich and Lei Ying Lee defeated Fatal Influence via pinfall in 11:20 of on-air time.
John’s Thoughts: (Writer’s note: Due to being very busy last week and even having internet problems on Friday at the office. I didn’t get to this part of the review until after Evolution and NXT TV. But I’ll try to keep things in context of this show airing on Thursday). Solid tag to have Masha looking strong going into her title vs. title match at Slammiversary. Henley taking the pin protects Jayne while also adding fuel to their slow burn breakup which has been building up for a long time. I’m curious as to why they have Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee linger around? To be in her corner in Slammiversary? They kinda just feel like impromptu extras just so Masha can equalize the numbers (At the same time, I missed the days when Masha was a Russian-speaking buzzsaw, and would tear through women like Henley, Jayne, and Nyx all by herself due to how OP she was).
The sponsored injury report aired. Trey Miguel was out with a hernia (Myron Reed will be his replacement in The Rascalz). Keller Kelly was out due to Upper Body pain. Matt Cardona was out due to Lower Body pin after getting attacked by DarkState…
John’s Thoughts: These injury reports both frustrate and get a chuckle out of me every time. Every time they use things like “Lower body pain” or “upper body pain”, which make these kayfabe injuries seem pretty mild. Can’t we kayfabe better injuries? “Messed up orbital bone”? “Broken ribs”? Busted Laryinx (Which NXT did with Ricky Saints)? “Intense swelling”? Come on now…
A Slammiversary ad aired which focused on the X Division title match and history of the X Division…
Moose and The System showed up to talk down to Leon Slater. Slater told Moose he knows he can carry the division. He says he hears Moose chattering about long reigns and being most dominant, but Leon is chasing something that hasn’t been broken yet, becoming the youngest X Division Champion. Moose said everyone sees Leon’s potential, but that’s just praising things that aren’t acomplished yet.
Moose said he’s done everything there is to in TNA Wrestling. He after he leaves Slammiversary, he’ll have the longest ever reigning title, while Leon will just be another name on the list. Slater fired up and said he’s going to give Moose the toughest fight of his life. Leon walked off and The System tried to calm down Moose.
Matt Cardona approached the System and said that he thinks that DarkState aren’t just coming after him, but all of them. Cardona asked The System for their assistance. Moose, Eddie, Alisha, and JDC laughed it off and walked away. Cardona asked Myers “I need your help bro”. Cardona was about to say something, but he walked off conflicted…
Hannifan ran through the rundown graphic for the upcoming International Championship match. Jake Something and Mance Warner made their entrances first and started brawling before Maclin could get there. The referee rang the bell once Maclin laid some right hands on both opponents…
4. Steve Maclin vs. Jake Something vs. Mance Warner (w/Steph De Lander). Maclin dumped both opponents to ringside. Maclin it Mance with a Suicide Dive. Something hit both opponents with a top rope clearing dive. Mance brought a chair in the ring and attacked both opponents with it. It’s no DQ in triple threats.
Warner opened and set up some chairs. Something recovered and power bombed Mance through the chairs. De Lander put Mance’s foot on the rope for the break. Maclin hit Something with a Thesz Press. Maclin hit Mance with a Olympic Slam. Maclin hit Warner with his signature Tree of Woe Spear. Something broke up Maclin’s pin. Something hit Maclin with a sitiout power bomb for a nearfall.
Something dragged Maclin to the top rope. Mance got there and hit both opponents with a Tower of Doom spot. Something dumped Warner to ringside. De Lander pulled Mance away to send Something into the steel steps. Mance hit a recovering Maclin with a running knee for a nearfall. Maclin reversed Warner right into a KIA DDT for the win.
Steve Maclin defeated Mance Warner and Jake Something via pinfall in 7:37.
John’s Thoughts: One thing that irks me about pro wrestling and triple threats is that whole “Triple Threats are No DQ matches” things the announcers always throw out there. Why can’t you have a DQ in a triple threat, and maybe call the no DQ version Three Way Dance or something (shout out to EC Dub). It always feels like they have the announcer do that for surprise, but I can see even casual viewers roll their eyes. This match was what it was. Mance has been ice cold as generic garbage match guy (He was sooooo good as the wholesome southern babyface garbage wrestling guy!). Meanwhile, The International title doesn’t feel important yet. It’s tough when you already have a mid-card, and way more established X Division title. What makes the two titles different? Does the International title “have limits” while the X title has “no limits”? What did “no limits” ever mean anyway?
Backstage Ali, Hotch, and Skyler caught up with Tasha in the parking lot, while also bickering amongst themselves. Tasha yelled for all of them to shut up. Tasha berated them for saying they were supposed to be the best, yet having no gold to show for it. Tasha brought up Ali’s downward spiral after losing to Mike Santana which got on her nerves. Tasha said she brought in Cedric to play all three of them.
Tasha said Cedric saved her, but the real thing that needs saving is Order 4. Tasha said her plan gave Mustafa Ali a marquee match at Slammiversary. A match against a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion and a man Ali could never beat, Cedric Alexander. Tasha said everybody in the world says Cedric Alexander is better than Ali.
Tasha said that instead of trying to do the right thing, Hotch and Skyler need to do the right things because of all the zeros that just got added to their paycheck. Tasha said they were nothing before Order 4. Tasha said they need to go into the PPV as a unit. Tasha said if anybody has something to say, say it. She then asked if they were clear, and they all agreed. Ali got in Tasha’s face and said Tasha lied to all of them. Tasha said she lied to them, but she also saved them.
Ali said he knew he hired the right person. Ali said that a united Order 4 can be the greatest faction in TNA history. They were about to enter their van, but Alisha Edwards ran and shut the door. Edwards comically asked Ali “do you want to know something?”. The System were behind her. Myers, Eddie, and JDC challenged Order 4 to a match next week to find out the best faction. Before Ali could come up with an excuse, Tasha accepted the match on their behalf…
John’s Thoughts: You tell em Tasha! Another masterful segment with intelligent storytelling and character development. This story does have Ali’s fingerprints all over it, and it shows how WWE sorta dropped the ball with him (sorta, because he did get hit with injuries). Tasha playing Order 4 like a fiddle to reap big rewards was explained masterfully by her. I like that it gives Hotch and Skyler big heat with her, and puts them back in Stockholm Syndrome mode. I like that while Ali respects what she did, they did put some heat between him and Tasha by having feel a bit hurt by the lie and by Tasha big leaguing him and accepting a match he didn’t want to accept for the next Impact show.
Oh my. An Enzo freaking Amore vignette aired where he was doing his usual clownshoe mess. He still calls himself a certified G and a bonafide stud, and you still can’t teach that. He’s not seven foot tall like Big Cass, but he can still ball. He said he still wants the smoke and zero dimes. He brought up that one time he jumped Tama Tonga and others at an ROH show in New York…
Hannifan hyped upcoming segments…[c]
John’s Thoughts: Oh my lord. We go from the peak greatness of 205 Live with Cedric and Ali, to the rock bottom of quality of that show. This gave me PTSD to reviewing those Vince McMahon produced shows before Paul Levesque took over after Enzo got released (to be fair, Enzo was doing good social media numbers, but mostly because of the well written promos that Enzo would do on Raw as Crusierweight champ. The 205 Lives shows were a chore to sit through). I can’t say I’m looking too forward to Enzo in TNA. That said, he is good at getting legit heat. I was very entertained at Jacob Fatu and Enzo’s feud in MLW, and that’s because who wouldn’t want to see Jacob Fatu tear apart Enzo and whoop that F’n trick! Have Enzo walk up to the biggest and baddest monster up and coming in TNA, and have that monster just maul little Enzo. Shut that foo up, and it will make that monster the biggest babyface in the company.
A Mike Santana vignette aired where he was shown walking the streets of New York. Santana talked about how people thought this journey starting when he came back to TNA recently, but the reality is that it started 5 years ago. Santana talked about how 5 years ago, he got a phonecall that changed his life. The person that been his biggest supporter, biggest advocate, and the one that loved him the strongest, was gone.
He said he lost his father. Santana said things got worse, but things have to get worse to get better. Santana said the largest obstacles are thrown at you to teach you the brightest lessons. Santana said that God has blessed him with the ability to suffer and use it as motivation to move forward. He said he did that in both his life, and in being back in TNA.
He said he used those obstacles as a stepping stone to get to the main event of Slammiversary, in New York, infront of his family, his friends, and culture. He said he isn’t just representing himself, but also TNA. He said he’s the Standard and will be champion…
John’s Thoughts: Preach, brother! Damn. That one made me tear up a little bit. I can 1000% relate to getting that phone call, and getting plunged into the depths of hell after finding out that the man who built me brick by brick to take struggles head on and use that to become stronger than everyone, my dad, left this world. Rest in Peace, pops! I was always a fan of Santana, but the more I hear from this homie, the more I see this man as a real life relatable hero. My dad was raised by the streets of New York too. Must be something in the water out there. I kid. Sorry for getting emotional about that promo, but dang. Someone like Joe Hendry is a amazing “pro wrestler”, but Santana is running out there as a real human being just trying to fight for what’s right, and fight to be the best.
Entrances for the next match took place. Tessa Blanchard joined the commentary table for the next match and bragged about being the person that brought Indi Hartwell in the business and even housed her…
5. Indi Hartwell vs. Victoria Crawford (w/Tessa Blanchard). Crawford hid behind the ropes to stall. Crawford then rolled to ringside to stall more. Blanchard got in Indi’s face. Crawford punted Indi’s hamstring and put her in a chinlock. Crawford distracted the referee to allow Tessa to hit her with a cheap shot. Crawford hit Indi with a rough looking axe kick. That didn’t faze Hartwell, because she hit Crawford with a big boot for the win.
Indi Hartwell defeated Victoria Crawford via pinfall in 2:39.
Tessa took the mic and talked about how Indi wasn’t being loyal to a friend in her, the one that carried her in this business. She said if it wasn’t for her, Indi will still be wrestling for only a meat pie and handshake. Tessa said at Slammiversary she’ll end this because Indi isn’t undeniable or impressive, she’s forgettable…
Santino Marella and Ariana Grace were chatting backstage. Eric Young and his goons showed up. EY told Santino that Home Town Man shouldn’t be allowed in TNA because he’s Cody Deaner. Santino denied this. Eric Young said he knows things like this because he used to be under a mask as Super Eric. Santino said he never knew. Young had Deaner’s mask. Santino said Young needs to find defnitive proof…
Hannifan and Rehwoldt hyped upcoming segments…[c]
The following matches were advertised for next week’s Impact: Moose vs. Sami Callihan in a non-title match, Dani Luna vs. Tessa Blanchard, The System vs. Order 4, and Joe Hendry and Mike Santana vs. Frankie Kazarian and Trick WIlliams…
Tom Hannifan had a sitdown interview with Trick Williams. Hannifan brought up how it looks like Trick doesn’t care about TNA and only won the title out of spite. Joe said he’s someone who’s watch TNA since 2002 and it’s painful to him being the person who lost the title to someone who doesn’t care about the history of TNA and doesn’t work here. Joe noted that it disgusts him that Trick won’t put the title on his shoulder.
Joe said he’s bringing the title back to TNA. Hannifan said the fans are always behind Joe and want the two TNA guys in the match to bring the title back to TNA, but the fans also spoke up to get Santana into the match to make it a triple threat. Hannifan asked Joe what he thinks about Santana being added to the match after it was just a singles match? Joe said he welcomes it.
He said he has no doubt that Mike will be the guy someday, but what he’s done is unprescidented. Joe said he’s the guy who goes to AAA when they need somebody, he’s the guy TNA sends out to media appearances, he’s the guy putting the title belt on Ariel Helwani’s desk for the first time, he’s the one defending the title everywhere. He said he was in the ring and in an arena every day with a smile on his face.
Joe said New York is Santana’s territory, and the fans believe in Mike Santana; but does the world believe in him more than Joe Hendry? Hannifan asked Joe if Joe believes he can redeem himself for losing the title to Trick? Joe said the fans were there for his ascension and he needs them for his redemption. He said he needs to believe in himself like they believe in him. Joe said there’s the songs, appearances, and memes, but behind that there is someone who believes what it takes to get to the top.
He talked about starting amateur wrestling late at 27 years old to legitimize himself. He said he fought to get a black belt in Judo. He said people forget that because they remember the songs. He said he’ll do whatever it takes to get that title back at Slammiversary…
John’s Thoughts: Awesome stuff. I was WAY down at first when I felt they shoehorned Joe Hendry into the Slammiversary main event, when a singles match would have made perfect sense between Santana and Trick. I was starting to get won over by the variable of “every man for himself” putting a wedge between Mike and Joe. This interviewed helped me accept this match more. Joe’s verbage here was really good and he set up a good picture, talking about how this is his redemption story.
TNA World Champion Trick Williams made his entrance to join the commentary table. Entrances for the eight person tag team match took place…
6. Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Zachary Wentz, and Myron Reed vs. Nic Nemeth, Ryan Nemeth, AJ Francis, and KC Navarro. Reed and Nic started the match. Nic did his usual amateur and chain wrestling to start. Myron got a lateral press and leg drop. Wentz tagged in. The Rascalz hit Nemeth with their signature swarming kicks. Ryan tagged in and got caught by Zach’s back suplex.
AJ tagged in. Wentz tagged in Jeff. AJ did a pose, but Jeff responded by doing his signature finger wave dance, The Juke. Jeff hit AJ with a kick and a few jawbreakers. Jeff hit AJ with a Twist of Fate. Jeff hit AJ with Poetry in Motion. Matt tagged in and hit AJ with Poetry in Motion. Wentz tagged in and hit AJ with a standing moonsault for a two count.
AJ dragged Wentz to his corner. The heels cut the ring in half on Wentz.[c]
Back from break, the heels were still cutting the ring in half on Wentz with well timed tags and cheap shots. Hannifan insinuated how Ryan’s hip movements were making him feel uncomfortable. The isolation lasted a few minutes. Wentz got a window of opportunity after surprising Nic with a leaping knee. Matt and Ryan tagged in. Matt hit both Nemeth’s with Side Effects for a nearfall on Ryan.
Matt hit Ryan with a Twist of Fate. Matt hit AJ with a Side Effect and Delete slams into the buckles. The Nemeths broke up Matt’s pin. Wentz dumped the Nemeths to ringside and hit them with a Plancha. While the referee was distracted, Trick hit Matt in the back with the title belt (though it looked like he barely grazed him). AJ hit Matt with a Spear for the victory.
AJ Francis, KC Navarro, Nic Nemeth, and Ryan Nemeth defeated Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Zachary Wentz, and Myron Reed via pinfall in 11:37 of on-air time.
Trick joined First Class in putting the boots to Matt and Jeff Hardy. Mike Santana made his entrance through the crowd. He took down KC Navarro, but AJ and Trick had the numbers advantage. Joe Hendry ran out and helped Santana clear AJ and Trick from the ring. Joe accidentally turned around and clocked Santana in the face. The Hardys and Rascalz kept Mike and Joe from going at each other to close the show…
John’s Thoughts: An okay television main event, but I didn’t see the need to cross the streams between the builds of the TNA World and Tag Title matches. Yes, Trick has that association with First Class, but that got cut off a bit due to KC Navarro’s injury at the taping preceding this one (they in fact got replaced by High Ryze). They probably should have just let it settle a bit with the awesome Santana and Hendry promo segments earlier.
They could have used this time to build up the Tag Team four way because so far I don’t care about the story they are telling there. Thee’s a part of me that wants to see First Class steal the titles in that match to give AJ Francis some cred after his awesome match with Mike Santana recently, and I can trust that he can be a strong heel champion on the mic; and even lose the belts to the Hardys at Bound for Glory or something (though the Nemeths and Hardys are still higher on the pecking order). Solid episode of Impact. The TNA Title feud is heating up decently, but what was the most entertaining from this show was the stuff they did with Mustafa Ali and Order 4. And that’s going to lead to a dark horse show stealer of a match.
