WrestlePalooza
Minneapolis, Minnesota at First Avenue
Report by Dot Net reader Jason Biagi

The event was sold out (as usual).

1. Mike Quackenbush beat Arik Cannon by submission. Afterwards,Cannon heaped praise on his teacher, Quackenbush.

2. Wildcat beat Rob Justice, Thunder Frog, JDX, Heavy Metal Lore, and Swoggle in a six-pack match.

Local band 4 On The Floor performed.

Darin Corbin interrupted the band, which led to Uptown VFW Champion Orange Cassidy coming out without the title. Corbin left claiming a non-title match wasn’t worth his time. Joey Ryan appeared and said he’d wrestle Cassidy title or not. Cassidy produced the belt from his backpack and the match was on.

3. Orange Cassidy beat Joey Ryan and Darin Corbin to retain the Uptown VFW Championship. Corbin joined the match in progress and demanded to be included. Cassidy said “Whatever.” Cassidy ended up pinning Corbin.

Wrestlepalooza Champion Air Wolf was set to defend against Rey Fenix, but “The North” duo of Ethan Page and Josh Alexander interrupted demanding a tag match. Air Wolf’s brother Angel Dorado ran out followed by Penta El Zero (Pentagon Jr.). A three-way tag main event between the three teams was announced for later in the main event.

4 On The Floor performed again. Darin Corbin hit a Ginger Snap cutter on the drummer.

4. Jessicka Havok pinned Kimber Lee. Havock won after a middle rope tombstone piledriver. Both women busted their asses and hugged after the match.

5. Air Wolf and Angel Dorado beat “The North” Josh Alexander & Ethan Page and “The Lucha Brothers” Penta El Zero and Rey Fenis. Air Wolf and Dorado hit a double team flipping cannonball Denton that landed squarely on Alexander’s legs. Ouch.

Another stellar show at First Ave.
