FITE TV issued the following press release to announce that the HonorClub streaming service can be subscribed to via the FITE TV streaming platform.
New York, NY (February 25, 2019) – FITE and Ring of Honor Wrestling announced that starting today new and existing FITE users are able to subscribe to and access ROH Wrestling’s popular subscription service HonorClub through FITE.
With the rollout of ROH HonorClub on FITE, ROH Members can enjoy the full experience of the subscription package on every FITE-supported device around the world, while taking advantage of the content discovery, streaming, and live user and celebrity interaction capabilities of the FITE platform. In addition to free access to all LIVE ROH On Tour events, the TV archive, and other historical on-demand programming, HonorClub VIP Members can stream all ROH pay per views for free and ROH Standard Members can watch them on a 50% discount.
“We’re thrilled to collaborate with our long-term partner ROH Wrestling on this project to further accelerate the amazing growth of the HonorClub membership program”, commented Kosta Jordanov, FITE CEO. “Our application of the TV Everywhere model, used by traditional broadcasters to authenticate premium networks, ensures we fully preserve the ROH brand experience while taking full care of delivery, promotion, technology, infrastructure, customer support, and live streaming operations.”
“FITE has developed a fantastic platform for distributing content and one that wrestling fans have come to know and trust,” said Greg Gilleland, General Manager of ROH. “With our great relationship and a mutual commitment to deliver the best wrestling on the planet to all fans, this is a perfect integration that we are very excited about.”
ROH HonorClub is Ring of Honor’s exclusive membership platform providing Pro Wrestling fans with exclusive live and on-demand content. But, HonorClub is more than just a network, with exclusive features including pre-sale of ROH event tickets and special discounts on ROH merchandise in the ROH Pro Shop.
FITE viewers can access the full benefits of the HonorClub service by signing up for either the Monthly or VIP Annual Plan through the convenience of their FITE account. The first pay per view event to stream for HonorClub members on FITE is ROH 17th Anniversary set to air on March 15th.
Powell’s POV: A cool deal for both parties as well as fans who may find the FITE TV platform easier to navigate or even more reliable as far as live streams are concerned. Keep in mind that the weekly ROH television show is also available for free on FITE TV on Monday as 6CT/7ET.
