The fourteenth installment of the NWA’s “10 Pounds of Gold” digital series focusses on Nick Aldis defending the NWA Championship as part of the Aldis Crusade against Anthony “Crimson” Mayweather on Saturday in Clarksville,Tennessee at the Tried N True Pro Wrestling event. Powell’s POV: There’s footage of Aldis facing a variety of opponents during his crusade matches on his recent UK tour before it shifts to setting up the Crimson match. The story heading into the match is that the two men are friends outside the ring but there may be longstanding jealousy. Crimson was really good in this setting as he spoke about their time together in TNA and why he didn’t capitalize on the big push that he was given in that company.
