NWA “10 Pounds of Gold” digital series begins

This is the first digital series from Lighting One and the NWA telling the story of the most prestigious championship title in wrestling history.  In episode one of the NWA Ten Pounds of Gold, Lighting One’s cameras bring you behind-the-scenes as the current reigning NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Tim Storm arrives in Los Angeles.

The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship has the longest legacy in wrestling with men like Lou Thesz, Harley Race, Dory Funk Jr, Jack Brisco, Terry Funk, Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Sting, AJ Styles, Adam Pearce, Colt Cabana and more have worn the Ten Pounds of Gold.

The current NWA Champion, Tim Storm appeared on Championship Wrestling From Hollywood the first week of October.  This episode of NWA Ten Pounds of Gold features behind-the-scenes footage of Tim’s arrival in Hollywood, being reunited with David Marquez and glimpse of his day.

Each episode of this series will explore deeply the wrestlers, promoters and fans passion for the famous NWA Ten Pounds Of Gold.

Powell’s POV: One of the goals of Corgan and Lagana is to establish the history of the NWA Championship, so I assume that’s the direction this series is headed in. They have done a nice job so far of establishing Storm as a likable underdog even though he holds the championship.
