Moose brings in NFL player help on Impact Wrestling (spoilers)

Moose teased during Thursday’s Impact Wrestling television show that he would be bringing in some friends for a Grand Championship match. Although he was interrupted before he could elaborate, the match was taped for next week’s show after Impact went off the air. TMZ reports that NFL players Gary Barnidge and DeAngelo Williams joined Moose, and Barnidge got involved physically by bodyslamming Davey Richards. You can view footage at TMZ.com.

Powell’s POV: Williams is a free agent running back who played for the Pittsburgh Steelers last season. He recently appeared on the “Talking Dead” show and discussed his “The Walking Dead” themed wedding. Barnidge is the starting tight end for the Cleveland Browns. This is not Barnidge’s first involvement in pro wrestling, as he previously appeared on two episodes of WWE’s Total Divas reality show. I labeled it a spoiler in the headline, but I suspect that Impact Wrestling will be pushing this heavily as a hook for next week’s television show.
