WWE announced that Big Cass (William Morrissey) appears to have suffered a torn ACL that will require surgery. “It looks like he has an ACL tear, possibly a medial meniscus tear, but we’re going to wait for the radiologist to evaluate the MRI and give us their full report,” Dr. Chris Robinson told WWE.com.

Powell’s POV: The story notes that recovery time from ACL surgery is roughly nine months. Cass suffered the injury while taking an over the top rope bump during his match against Enzo Amore. Cass tried to continue, but his knee gave out as he was running the ropes for the Empire Elbow finisher, and the match was called off.
