By Jason Powell, ProWrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

TNA Slammiversary
Aired live July 20, 2025, on pay-per-view and TrillerTV.com
Elmont, New York, at UBS Arena

TNA Slammiversary Pre-Show

-The pre-show opened with backstage/arrival shots of Joe Hendry, Mike Santana, and TNA World Champion Trick Williams.

-Gia Miller hosted the pre-show from the stage. She was joined by Dave “Snake” Sabo from the band Skid Row, Dave LaGreca, and Tommy Dreamer.

-The broadcast team of Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt checked in from ringside and set the table for the Knockouts Tag Team Title match.

Ring announcer McKenzie Mitchell handled the introductions for the Knockouts Tag Team Title match, with the challengers coming out first. The Concierge delivered some heel mic work from the stage before introducing his champions…

1. Ash By Elegance and Heather By Elegance (w/The Concierge, M By Elegance) vs. “The IInspiration” Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay for the Knockouts Tag Team Titles. The crowd was still arriving, but most of the seats in the hard camera shot were filled. The champions isolated McKay. M (Maggie Lee) choked McKay over the bottom rope while the referee was tied up with Lee in the opposite corner.

Lee took a hot tag and worked over Ash and Heather, and used a fisherman’s suplex to get a two count on Heather. Cassie had Ash pinned moments later, but M put Ash’s foot on the bottom rope.

The Elegance crew gathered at ringside. McKay dove onto them, and then Lee dove from the second rope onto the heels. The challengers brought Ash back inside the ring and set up for their finisher, but it was broken up by Heather. With the referee checking on McKay, M stood on the apron and hit Ash with a torch that she brought to the ring. Ash followed up with Rarified Air on Lee and then pinned her.

Ash By Elegance and Heather By Elegance defeated “The IInspiration” Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay in 8:30 to retain the Knockouts Tag Team Titles.

Powell’s POV: This was fine for a pre-show opening match. I assume we haven’t seen the last of this feud, in part because it’s not like TNA has many women’s tag teams.

-The entrance of Eric Young, Judas Icarus, and Travis Williams interrupted the pre-show panel. Once in the ring, Young heeled on New York, which got some easy heat with a loud “shut the f— up” chant followed by a “USA” chant. Young said the Home Town Man is a fraud. Young pointed out that he had his gear on. He challenged people in the crowd to face him. Home Town Man made his entrance wearing a New York Islanders’ Bryan Trottier jersey.

2. Home Town Man vs. Eric Young (w/Judas Icarus, Travis Williams). HTM fought off Icarus and Williams at ringside before the impromptu match started. The duo interrupted HTM throwing punches at Young, who slipped under HTM and dumped him face-first on the top turnbuckle. Young removed the Islanders’ jersey and spat on it. Later, Young set up for a piledriver, but HTM backdropped him. Young countered into a rollup attempt, and then HTM sat down on him and got the three count.

Home Town Man beat Eric Young in 4:10.

After the match, HTM entered the crowd and kissed the Islanders jersey…

Powell’s POV: A harmless impromptu match with Cody Deaner’s crowd-pleasing character pumping up the crowd.

-An Invicta video package aired. Former WWE star Shayna Baszler was included in the video package on the women’s MMA promotion that is owned by Anthem, the parent company of TNA.

-A man encouraged the military veterans to stand up in what was an oddly sponsored segment by Zone-ify, and then entrances for the final pre-show match took place.

3. Steve Maclin, Jake Something, and Mance Warner (w/Steph De Lander) vs. Real1, Zilla Fatu, and Josh Bishop. Real1, formerly known as Enzo Amore, delivered some mic work on the stage before the match. Real1 introduced Fatu as the son of the late Umaga and the 4th Rope Champion. Real1 asked the fans if Bishop reminded them of “Sid” and said he’s a psycho. The trio represented the 4th Rope Wrestling promotion owned by Westside Gunn and Smoke DZA, who were both at ringside. Real1 heeled on the TNA wrestlers, who were already in the ring.

Hannifan said Real1 “was never economical with words.” Funny. Warner avoided Fatu’s top rope splash during the opening minute. Maclin got the better of Real1 after they both tagged in. Bishop chokeslammed Something. Warner put Bishop down with a clothesline.

Later, after some dives to ringside by both teams, Real1 ducked a clothesline by Warner that accidentally took out Something. Real1 threw Warner out of the ring, and then Real1 hit Eat Defeat on Something before pinning him.

Real1, Zilla Fatu, and Josh Bishop defeated Steve Maclin, Jake Something, and Mance Warner in 3:00.

Powell’s POV: It was fun while it lasted, but a three-minute six-man tag match? I’m guessing Real1 went long with his promo, but the company should have known there was a strong possibility that he would. In hindsight, they never should have added the impromptu match. On a side note, Dot Net staffer Don Murphy attended the show and said there was a good crowd, and the lower bowl of the venue was full.

-The broadcast team spoke about the TNA softball game that was held the day before, and some clips were shown.

-The panel spoke about the return of AJ Styles, and then the broadcast team ran through the pay-per-view lineup.

TNA Slammiversary Pay-Per-View

Ring announcer Gia Miller introduced Brianna Laughlin, who performed the national anthem on the stage. Laughlin is the daughter of Tommy Dreamer and Trisa Laughlin (a/k/a Beulah McGillicutty). The fans chanted “USA” afterward… A Slammiverary video package aired…

Four women stood on the stage holding flags while four “secret service” agents stood in front of them. Mustafa Ali made his entrance and headed to the ring with the other Order 4 members. Cedric Alexander’s entrance followed…

1. Mustafa Ali (w/Tasha Steelz, Jason Hotch, John Skyler) vs. Cedric Alexander. Ali’s secret service agents remained on the stage. Alexander performed an early German suplex on the floor. The secret service members headed to ringside and joined Ali’s other sidekicks in barking at Alexander after a second move on the floor.

Ali hit Alexander with a dive from the ring and ended up overshooting him. Ali’s head appeared to hit the base of the entrance ramp. Ali held his head for a moment, but he got up and continued. Alexander performed a Michinoku Driver from the middle rope that sent Ali crashing onto the secret service members, Hotch, and Skyler.

Later, Ali caught Alexander in a Sharpshooter. Alexander reached the ropes. “I hate you,” Ali told Alexander. Ali removed the top piece of the ring steps and wanted to powerbomb Alexander onto the bottom half, but Alexander escaped and ended up backdropping Ali onto the bottom piece of the steps.

Steelz stood on the apron and argued with the referee. Alexander went to ringside and chased Ali. Hotch caught Alexander going for a dive through the ropes and DDT’d him on the floor. Skyler rolled Alexander inside the ring. Ali hit a top rope frog splash and went for the pin, but Alexander kicked out at the last moment.

Steelz entered the ring and was eventually ejected from ringside by the referee. Ali ran into a cutter from Alexander, who followed up with a pair of German suplexes. Alexander suplexed a charging Ali onto the top turnbuckle. Wow. Alexander fought off interference from Hotch and Skyler. Ali went for a dropkick, but Alexander avoided it, and the dropkick knocked Skyler off the apron.

Alexander hit Ali with the Lumbar Check for a good near fall. A “this is awesome” chant broke out. Alexander set up Ali for a move on the ropes. Steelz returned and brought a chair. Alexander stepped on the chair. Steelz swung at Alexander, who ducked and then hit her with a Lumbar Check. Ali immediately hit Alexander with a frog splash and scored the pin.

Mustafa Ali defeated Cedric Alexander in 14:30.

Ali celebrated his win at ringside, while Hotch and Skyler carried Steelz to the back…

Powell’s POV: A hot opener. The Ali bump early in the match was frightening, but he seemed fine the rest of the way. Hopefully, that will remain the case once the adrenaline wears off. The big part that Steelz played in the build and the match has me wondering if Cedric will get some help from his wife, Big Swole.

Hannifan and Rehwoldt spoke at ringside, and then the French broadcast team of Handsome JF and Marc Blondin checked in from a second ringside broadcast table…

Joe Hendry was interviewed in a backstage area by Gia Miller. Hendry said he respects Mike Santana and hates Trick Williams. Hendry said the world believes in him and he will regain the TNA World Championship…

Leon Slater was shown warming up backstage. Moose was shown looking at himself in his dressing room mirror…

The System (minus Moose) made their entrance, and then Matt Cardona made a separate entrance. DarkState entered via the stage. They were simply introduced by the “DarkState” name by McKenzie Mitchell, who did not list their individual names…

2. “DarkState” Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Saquon Shugars, and Cutler James vs. Matt Cardona and “The System” Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, JDC (w/Alisha Edwards) in an eight-man tag. The teams brawled before the opening bell. The referee called for the bell once Shugars and Myers were in the ring.

Cardona tagged in a few minutes into the match and got a rise out of the crowd as he worked over the DarkState members. Cardona hit Shugars with The Reboot for a near fall. James caught Cardona with a big boot. Three of the DarkState members powerbombed Cardona, but Eddie broke up the pin attempt that followed.

DarkState set up for another triple powerbomb, but it was broken up. Cardona and Eddie caught Shugars on the ropes and powerbombed him. Myers hit a top rope elbow drop, and then JDC hit a top rope leg drop. The System had Shugars beat, but the other DarkState members broke up the pin.

Edwards hit Shugars with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Cardona hit Radio Silence. Edwards hit Shugars with a Boston Knee Party and then pinned him…

Matt Cardona and “The System” Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, and JDC defeated “DarkState” Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Saquon Shugars, and Cutler James in 6:45.

After the match, Alisha and Myers blew kisses to the crowd…

Powell’s POV: This didn’t do much for me. I don’t care if it’s Myers’ hometown, it felt strange watching him and especially Alisha act like babyfaces after the match. It probably says a lot about the lack of plans for the DarkState faction in NXT when they were swerved up to take this loss in TNA.

The sponsored TNA injury report was shown. Trey Miguel’s hernia will keep him out of the ladder match. KC Navarro has been cleared to return from a knee injury. Elijah is recovering from torn triceps surgery…

The broadcast team noted that Myron Reed would replace Miguel in the ladder match…

Hannifan said the stars were out. Gia Miller spoke with Tim Malcolm from 90 Day Fiancé. There were some boos…

Powell’s POV: Apparently, none of the stars that Hannifan referenced wanted to appear on camera, so we got that guy.

A video package set up the next match, and then entrances took place…

3. Tessa Blanchard (w/Victoria Crawford) vs. Indi Hartwell. Blanchard made Hartwell chase her out of the ring and then booted her once she followed her back inside the ring. There were some “she’s a racist” chants that broke out regarding Blanchard.

Later, Hartwell hit a top rope elbow drop onto the back of Blanchard, which led to a near fall. Blanchard stopped Hartwell from hitting her finisher and then dumped her to ringside. Blanchard dove onto Hartwell on the floor, rolled her back inside the ring, and covered for a two count.

Hartwell came back with a spinebuster for a near fall. Blanchard came back with a Tiger Driver and then acted shocked when Hartwell kicked out (the crowd didn’t seem nearly as surprised).

Hartwell hit her Hurts Donut finisher for a near fall. Hannifan said he didn’t think Hartwell got all of it. Blanchard came right back with a cutter from the top rope and then hit Magnum. Blanchard covered Hartwell, who kicked out at the last moment, which got a rise out of the crowd. Hannifan noted that Hartwell was the first wrestler to kick out of Magnum since Blanchard returned to the company last September.

Blanchard jawed at Hartwell, who came right back by hitting her Hurts Donut finisher onto the top rope, and then hit the standard version before getting the three count.

Indi Hartwell defeated Tessa Blanchard in 15:30.

After the match, Gia Miller spoke with Hartwell at ringside and asked her what’s next. Blanchard attacked Hartwell. Miller stopped Blanchard, who jawed at her and went back to beating on Hartwell. Miller tried to get her to stop again. Blanchard attacked Miller and slammed her head on the ring steps while Crawford worked over Hartwell. Security led the heels to the back…

Powell’s POV: A good match, but the live crowd didn’t seem fully invested until perhaps the closing minutes. The post-match angle was strong. Miller did a really good job of selling the attack in a way that made her look sympathetic. She acted more traumatized than injured, which worked.

A commercial aired for Zone-ify, which is TNA’s latest sponsor…

Rehwoldt returned to the broadcast table after checking on Miller…

Backstage, Santino Marella approached Blanchard and yelled at her about what she did to Miller. Blanchard asked what he was going to do about it. Santino called for security, which escorted Blanchard and Crawford out of the building…

Hannifan recapped the finish of the Knockouts Title match…

In an embarrassing moment, Ash By Elegance, Heather By Elegance, The Concierge, and M By Elegance were shown talking backstage, and then they were counted down by a producer. “The IInspiration” Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay showed up and argued with the heels. Whatever they yelled about, The Concierge was upset after Lee and McKay left, and said he’d talk to Santino…

A video package set up the title vs. title match, and Hannifan spoke as a tale of the tape graphic that was shown on the screen. Entrances for the match took place with “Fatal Influence” Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx coming out first. Masha Slamovich flew solo during her entrance. Slamovich stopped and bowed to Johnny Rodz, who was in the crowd. Hannifan noted that Rodz had a hand in training Slamovich…

4. Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich vs. NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne (w/Fallon Henley, Jazmyn Nyx) in a title vs. title match. McKenzie Mitchell delivered in-ring introductions for the title match. Fatal Influence used their numbers advantage to start. Jayne talked trash to Rodz, who didn’t respond.

Some TNA wrestlers and crew members were shown watching the match on a backstage monitor. Slamovich had a run of offense after spending most of the first six minutes selling.

Jayne regained control and pulled Slamovich off the ropes with a huracanrana. Jayne stood up and drilled Slamovich with a running knee strike that led to a near fall. Henley slid the NXT Championship belt inside the ring, but the referee took it away. Nyx handed Jayne the Knockouts Title, which Jayne hit Slamovich with while the referee was clearing the other title from the ring. Jayne covered Slamovich for a good near fall.

Slamovich came back and had Jayne down, but Henley and Nyx distracted the referee. Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee ran out and fought Henley and Nyx. The referee was taken out by an inadvertent kick. REF BUMP!!!

Slamovich hit the Snowplow and got the visible pinfall. A second referee showed up and counted, but Jayne kicked out. Jayne caught Slamovich with her Rolling Encore finisher and scored the pin…

NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne defeated Masha Slamovich in 12:45 to win the Knockouts Championship.

After the match, TNA President Carlos Silva brought the Knockouts Championship to the apron. Jayne took it from him and taunted him before celebrating with both titles. Hannifan noted that the top TNA championships were both held by NXT wrestlers…

Powell’s POV: Jayne got more heat than most of the NXT wrestlers thus far. I’m surprised that she went over. I thought Slamovich winning the NXT Women’s Championship may have been the tradeoff for Trick Williams winning the NXT Championship.

The broadcast team recapped Home Town Man beating Eric Young during the pre-show…

Backstage, Eric Young asked Judas Icarus and Travis Williams what happened. He said they had one job. Young said he can’t lose to Home Town Man or anyone, and not in New York. Young told Icarus and Williams that they needed to get onboard or get lost…

Hannifan listed the attendance as 7,623. He said it was the company’s largest North American attendance in history…

Powell’s POV: That’s terrific. It’s been fun to see this company improve. It started under Scott D’Amore, and the recent alliance with NXT has clearly helped. Much like last weekend’s AEW All In Texas event, I had my concerns when Slammiversary was first announced for a bigger venue. They didn’t fill the 19,000-seat venue, and I don’t think they ever had delusions of grandeur when it came to doing so, but the company setting its new North American attendance record makes this event a big success. And it will be interesting to see how the growth continues if TNA lands the media rights deal that Carlos Silva recently mentioned they are pursuing.

A video package set up the X Division Championship match, and then the entrances took place…

5. Moose vs. Leon Slater for the X Division Title. Moose hit Go To Hell less than a minute into the match, but Slater kicked out of the pin attempt that followed. Moose was dominant early. Slater battled back and caught Moose with a kick on the apron. Slater went to the middle rope. Moose grabbed him and set up for another Go To Hell, but Slater countered into a huracanrana that sent Moose to the floor.

Slater hit another move on Moose in the entrance aisle. Slater tried to roll Moose back inside the ring, but Moose reversed it. Slater performed a flip dive over the ring post onto Moose on the floor.

Back inside the ring, Moose hit a pop-up powerbomb for a near fall. A “this is awesome” chant broke out. Moose threw chops at Slater, who eventually blocked one and then fired back with some of his own. Slater threw running clotheslines at Moose, who stayed on his feet, and eventually turned Slater inside out with a clothesline.

Moose hit a Buckle Bomb, but Slater came right out of the corner with a clothesline, which led to both men staying down. Slater got up and caught Moose with a leg lariat. Slater went up top, but Moose grabbed the top rope and crotched him. Moose went for a spear, but Slater countered into an inside cradle for a two count.

Moose dumped Slater on the top rope and then speared him. Moose covered Slater and counted with the referee, but Slater kicked out. Slater’s mother and girlfriend were shown standing in the crowd. Moose set up for another spear, but Slater moved, and Moose crashed into a corner of the ring.

Slater put Moose in a Torture Rack, did an airplane spin, and put him down with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Slater speared Moose. Slater went up top and hit the Swanton 450, but Moose kicked out of the pin attempt that followed. Hannifan noted that no one in TNA had kicked out of the Swanton 450.

Slater threw superkicks at a kneeling Moose. Slater tried to run the ropes, but Moose grabbed him. Slater superkicked him again. Slater went for a springboard move, but Moose shot up and speared him in midair. There were some “Moose” chants.

Moose followed Slater to the floor and went for another spear, but Slater countered with Code Red. Slater rolled Moose back inside the ring and went up top. Moose rolled to the center of the ring and flipped him off. Slater hit a Swanton Bomb anyway. Slater went to the other corner and hit the Swanton 450 and scored the clean pin to become the youngest X Division Champion in history.

Leon Slater defeated Moose in roughly 15:00 to win the X Division Championship.

After the match, Slater went to ringside and celebrated with his mom, sister, and girlfriend. Slater returned to the ring, where Carlos Silva was waiting to give him the title belt. Moose took the belt before it could be given to Slater. Moose spun Slater around and then put the belt around Slater’s waist in a cool moment. The fans applauded while Moose spoke to Slater. Moose exited the ring and then Slater resumed his celebration…

Powell’s POV: The match of the night. It was a rollercoaster ride with a couple of times when it looked like Moose might pull the rug out from under Slater to retain, but they went with the feel-good ending. Great stuff. By the way, I had some technical issues, so I’m a bit behind compared to the live feed. Hopefully, I can catch up by skipping some video packages and entrances.

The broadcast team recapped the match highlights. Slater’s family was shown applauding as Slater was kneeling in the ring, looking at his title belt.

AJ Styles made his entrance to his old TNA entrance theme. The fans popped huge. Styles entered the ring and had a moment with Slater. Fans chanted “AJ” while he stood in the middle of the ring, and Slater stood in a corner.

“TNA, did you miss me?” Styles asked. A loud “welcome back” chant followed. Styles acknowledged Slater’s win. A “you deserve it” chant broke out. Styles told Slater not to listen to that, because he earned it. Styles thanked Slater for reminding him why he loves the business. The fans chanted Styles’ name.

Styles cut off a “welcome back” chant to say he wanted to talk about Slater first. Styles said Slater showed that it’s not about weight limits, it’s about no limits. Styles said that was the foundation when he started. He mentioned Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, Amazing Jerry Lynn, Homicide, and others. Styles said the X Division is in phenomenal hands.

Styles said Slater made history. He said the next step is for Slater to make his legacy. Styles introduced Slater as the new X Division Champion and then raised Slater’s hand. Styles’ TNA theme played while he and Slater played to the crowd and hugged.

Rehwoldt said there’s a lot of smoke and mirrors in the wrestling business, but there’s nothing more real than what just took place. Slater left the ring, leaving Styles to play to the crowd. Hannifan said they always hoped the prodigal son would come home. Styles exited the ring and did some “too sweet” hand gestures with fans as he headed to the stage, took a final bow, and headed to the back…

Powell’s POV: Excellent use of Styles. This was a really nice moment with the top star in TNA history returning to endorse the youngest X Division Champion in history. Here’s hoping that TNA can get WWE to loan them Styles for an actual match at some point. Either way, I’m really happy that they were able to deliver this memorable moment. By the way, I was able to speed through the upcoming entrances, so I’m back watching live. My apologies if I missed anything the broadcast team was talking about, but it seemed like they were filling time while the crew set up ladders and prepared for the ladder match.

After some advertising, Hannifan and Rehwoldt spoke at their desk. Hannifan confessed that he cried during Styles’ appearance. The broadcast team spoke more and then entrances for the ladder match took place…

6. Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth vs. Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy vs. “The Rascalz” Myron Reed and Zachary Wentz vs. “First Class” AJ Francis and KC Navarro in a four-way ladder match for the TNA Tag Team Titles. Reed replaced the injured Trey Miguel. Navarro took some crazy bumps early. The Hardys worked over Francis and then climbed two ladders, but the Nemeths tipped over the ladders.

Nic hit a Danger Zone on Matt. Ryan left the ring and jawed at former MLB star Johnny Damon. Nic got his brother to return to the ring, and then they climbed a ladder, but Reed and Wentz climbed up behind them. Navarro pushed the ladder over, forcing the Nemeths and Rascalz to crash and burn. Navarro slammed a chair over the back of the four men. A “we want tables” chant broke out from the impatient crowd.

Francis climbed to near the top of a ladder set up in a corner of the ring. Big man Francis performed a moonsault off the ladder onto the Nemeths and Rascalz, which drew “holy shit” chants (for good reason). Francis and Navarro climbed a ladder and went for the title belts, but the Rascalz pushed the ladder over, causing Francis and Navarro to take insane bumps onto two ladder bridges that were set up over the ring and barricade.

Powell’s POV: Francis actually took the bump so that his feet and legs went between the rungs, meaning his, um, groin landed on one of the rungs. Wow. Unfortunately, the first shot the production team cut to was of a laughing fan. Ugh.

The Hardys put the Rascalz on top of two more ladder bridges over the apron and the sideways ring steps. Jeff performed a Swanton onto Reed and Wentz, but the ladders didn’t break. Jeff tried again, but the damn things still didn’t break.

Jeff had the production crew lower a flimsy-looking ladder from the rafters into the ring. Jeff started to climb it, but the Nemeths cut him off. Matt swatted Ryan down with chair shots. Nic climbed the ladder, but Jeff pulled him down.

The Hardys wrapped the heads of the Nemeths inside chairs and then hit them with stereo Twist of Fates in the ring. Jeff climbed the hanging ladder and pulled the title belts down. Jeff dropped one of the belts inside the ring. Matt picked it up and held it while also trying to hold the hanging ladder in place. Jeff dropped the other title belt and then did his dance on the hanging ladder.

Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy defeated “The Rascalz” Myron Reed and Zachary Wentz, “First Class” AJ Francis and KC Navarro, and Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth in a four-way ladder match in 17:30 to win the TNA Tag Team Titles.

Bully Ray made his entrance dressed in black and joined the Hardys inside the ring. Bully congratulated them on winning another tag team championship. “You guys are catching up,” Bully said. He added that it was another amazing match. He also said they are one of the reasons that this was a record-setting attendance night for the company. Bully added that it was a record “we set in 2013.”

Bully said the Hardys and the Dudleys made history in New York with one of their classic matches. Bully said the greatest tag team in history was the Road Warriors. Bully brought up the fact that the Dudleys and Hardys have a lot of championships, but this was about giving the fans the last great tag team match of all time.

Bully challenged the Hardys to face Team 3D in one last match at Bound For Glory in October. A “Where is D-Von” chant started. Bully said it was a great point and a great question. Bully said the fans would hear “D-Von, get the tables,” one last time at Bound For Glory. Matt and Jeff shook hands with Bully and then resumed their celebration while Bully made his exit…

Powell’s POV: I love it. The Hardys and Dudleys may not be able to do everything they once did, but they are savvy veterans, and I have no doubt that they will leave it all in the ring and make it the best match possible. The Hardys winning this match was telegraphed, but that’s not a negative. All four teams sacrificed their bodies to make this a memorable ladder match. By the way, I spotted Francis carrying Navarro at ringside, so hopefully that’s a good sign that Francis survived that crazy ladder bump. Likewise, here’s hoping that Navarro was just selling as Francis carried him away.

Hannifan announced that Bound For Glory will be held on Sunday, October 12, in Lowell, Massachusetts, at Tsongas Center…

Powell’s POV: Why a Sunday during NFL season? On the bright side, my Vikings have a bye that Sunday.

Santino Marella walked onto the stage with Skid Row’s Dave “Snake” Sabo, Dave LaGreca, and Tommy Dreamer. Santino announced that Tessa Blanchard was suspended for attacking Gia Miller earlier in the night. He asked the others for predictions on the main event. Sabo and LeGreca picked Santana, but entrance music cut off Dreamer before he could make his pick.

Frankie Kazarian came out and said he didn’t give a damn about Dreamer’s prediction or the prediction of anyone from his “stupid-ass mark radio show.” Kazarian heeled it up a bit, and then Santino said it was time for the main event…

A video package set up the main event, and then a tale of the tape was shown. Joe Hendry made his entrance to a good reaction. A rapper performed in the ring as Santana made his entrance through the crowd. The Harlem Gospel Ensemble sang Trick Williams’ entrance theme on the stage, and then he headed to the ring.

McKenzie Mitchell delivered in-ring introductions for the championship match. There were some boos for Hendry. The fans popped big for Santana and chanted his name. Trick had a flat reaction with mostly boos…

7. Trick Williams vs. Joe Hendry vs. Mike Santana in a three-way for the TNA World Championship. Daniel Spencer was the referee. Frankie Kazarian sat in on commentary. They took turns early with two wrestlers fighting in the ring while one was down at ringside.

Hendry and Santana hit a powerbomb and blockbuster combo move on Williams that left all three men down around 8:00. Santana went for Spin the Block on Williams, who caught him with a kick instead. Santana rolled to the floor to avoid being pinned.

Hendry put Williams down with the Standing Ovation and had him beat, but Kazarian pulled the referee out of the ring. The referee ejected Kazarian from ringside. The production team missed Santana hitting a flip dive from the ring onto Williams on the floor. Hendry followed up with his own dive onto both men.

Williams stayed down. A trainer and a referee came out to check on him. Meanwhile, Santana and Hendry fought inside the ring. Hendry stuffed Spin the Block and put Santana down. Hendry followed up with the Standing Ovation for a near fall. Williams could be seen being backed up the entrance ramp with help from the trainer and referees.

Santana and Hendry traded strikes in the ring. Santana caught Hendry with Spin the Block. Santana hit the move again and went for the pin. Williams returned, threw Santana out of the ring, and stole the pin.

Trick Williams defeated Joe Hendry and Mike Santana in a three-way in 13:15 to retain the TNA World Championship.

After the match, TNA President Carlos Silva handed the TNA Championship belt to Williams…

Powell’s POV: A shit finish to the main event. They showed that Hendry may have won had it not been for Kazarian, and then Trick feigned an injury to steal the pin from Santana. What a lousy way to end a mostly enjoyable pay-per-view. I will be back later tonight with Jonny Fairplay and John Moore for an audio review that will be available as this week’s Pro Wrestling Boom podcast. 1. Main event wasn’t great but I’m generally tapped out on triple threats

Women’s WHC was very good. Maybe the best match I’ve ever seen Jacey wrestle

I’m also set with ladder matches and equally tired of nostalgia. That said I enjoyed AJs appearance

Too bad Tessa is such an awful person because she is still the gold standard for woman’s wrestling

This sounds like a lot of complaints but I actually did enjoy the show

  2. Two NXT wrestlers holding the main TNA titles. Come on.

  3. Nxtiversary in the books then. Its sad what tna turned into. Sold their soul to the fed. Getting used big time.

They used to be a fun viable alternative. Now just a feeder to the fed. An event in stadium 2/3 empty pretty much isnt much to write home about. A smaller venue would have done wonders.

There is alot of good talent in tna and i wish them well. The sooner they see through the fed and get back to what made Tna great the better. Theyve lost their soul.

  4. TheGreatestOne July 21, 2025 @ 2:23 pm

That was an A until the finish of the main event. Trick absolutely had to drop the belt to Santana there.
