AEW Dynamite rating for Big Business with the debut of Mercedes Mone

By Jason Powell, ProWrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite television show averaged 801,000 viewers for TBS, according to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.com. The viewership count was up from the 779,000 viewership total from last week’s show.

Powell’s POV: Dynamite finished with a 0.27 rating in 18-49 demo, equal to last week’s 0.27 rating in the same demo. Tuesday’s NXT finished with 588,000 viewers and a 0.16 rating on USA Network. One year ago, the March 15, 2023 edition of Dynamite on TBS delivered 852,000 viewers and a 0.27 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

    Nothing. It literally did nothing.

    • Again, your poor, sad life causes you to once again come here to make a negative comment. I feel sorry for you, yet you make me laugh every single time you post. Pathetic, yet so funny.

  2. Big business! Lol. What a game changer!

    • I’m a big Aew fan and it’s a disappointing number. No two ways about it. But popping a rating on Wednesday would not have changed anything. What changes something is steadily improving the show and growing the audience to get consistency in both quality of show and growth of the audience. That doesn’t come overnight. 1m would have proved nothing. Let’s see if they can grow it from here. I do feel Tony missed the boat by not advertising her and building upto it. That could have brought more viewers and perhaps some of them may have stuck around next week. But he didn’t advertise her. No if you’re not a watcher of aew , you just didn’t know did you.

Same thing they did with Punk and it popped a huge rating.

The telling part is someone showed a breakdown of the first 12 hours across all AEW social media and her debut was way behind Punk and Copeland. She’s not a star. Nobody other than the people already watching are interested in anything she’s doing.

  3. Damn, that can’t be what Tony was hoping for. Apparently she did pop a rating at the start, they had a million for the first quarter hour. But after the opening segment, aside from AEW’s core audience, none of them stuck around to watch the rest or even see if she would do anything else on the show. Looks like it mighta been smarter to save her debut for later in the show and see if that million woulda stuck around longer.

    • Mine didn’t pop a rating. The first quarter hour is always artificially inflated because of the Big Bang Theory. The first minute of Dynamite is the last minute of BBT so AEW gets credit for it. So Sheldon Cooper is AEW’s biggest draw

      • Mone didn’t pop a rating I meant to type

      • The first quarter hour NEVER draws a million and we both know that. You and that other clown both think Sheldon suddenly brought in more viewers than it ever has in fucking history?

Sheldon Cooper popped a 1st quarter rating, like he always does. TBS literally has Big Bang Theory play 1-2 minutes into the top of the hour to artificially boost that 1st quarter for AEW and they still get laughably small numbers.
