Randy Orton has reportedly re-signed with WWE. Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com reports that Orton recently signed a multi-year contract.
Powell’s POV: Orton was either having fun or creating some leverage when he posted a photo of himself next to an “elite” sign a couple weeks ago as a tease of a potential jump to AEW. Obviously, that’s not the case now that he has signed on for additional years with WWE. While I don’t pick sides in the battle between the two companies, I must confess that the idea of seeing Orton finally work outside WWE was intriguing. Nevertheless, congratulations to Orton on his new contract.
All Orton had to do was watch the horrible AEW show and his decision was easy.
No one wants to see the 20 minute chinlock of doom in AEW, anyway. Trust me.
I’m genuinely disappointed by this news. More Randy Orton doing pretty much nothing when he could be doing something new and fresh elsewhere.
Better to stick with the dumpster fire you know.
