The following matches are advertised for the NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool event that will be held on Saturday in Blackpool, England at the Empress Ballroom.
-Pete Dunne vs. Joe Coffey for the WWE UK Championship.
-Rhea Ripley vs. Toni Storm for the NXT UK Women’s Championship
-Trent Seven and Tyler Bate vs. James Drake and Zack Gibson to become the first NXT UK Tag Champions.
-Dave Mastiff vs. Eddie Dennis in a No DQ match.
Powell’s POV: This event has not received much attention on WWE television or even on the WWE website. We’ll see if that changes this week as we move closer to the show. Join me for live coverage of Takeover on Saturday beginning with the pre-show at 12:30 p.m. CT/1:30 p.m. ET. The actual event will begin at 1CT/2ET, and is blocked for 2.5 hours (which is just right for football fans given that the first playoff game of the day will begin at that time). Haydn Gleed and Darren Gutteridge will be by on Sunday with their members’ exclusive audio review of the event.
