The following matches are advertised for the NXT Takeover: Chicago event that will be held tonight in Chicago, Illinois at Allstate Arena.
-Aleister Black vs. Lars Sullivan for the NXT Championship.
-Johnny Gargano vs. Tommaso Ciampa in a Street Fight.
-Shayna Baszler vs. Nikki Cross for the NXT Women’s Championship.
-Ricochet vs. Velveteen Dream.
-Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly vs. Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch for the NXT Tag Titles.
Powell’s POV: Another strong Takeover lineup on paper. I asked Paul “Triple H” Levesque for an update on Ricochet’s health during the media conference on Wednesday. Levesque indicated that Ricochet suffered a shoulder tweak at a live event on Monday and was held out of Tuesday’s live event as a precautionary measure, but there didn’t seem to be any concern about him missing this event.
