Powell’s POV: McMahon had an easier time being approved than many of U.S. President Donal Trump’s cabinet nominees. Linda was unsuccessful in two runs for U.S. Senate in Connecticut, and reports indicate that she spent $100 million of her own money in the process. She also contributed $7.5 million to Super PACs in support of Trump’s presidential campaign. She gave up her position in WWE in 2009 prior to her senate runs.
