Harley Race died Wednesday at age 76. The eight-time NWA Champion battled a number of health issues, including lung cancer, in recent years.
Powell’s POV: Race is a true legend and one of the all-time greats. He remained involved in pro wrestling after his retirement by promoting the World League Wrestling and running a training academy. My condolences to his family, friends, and many fans.
Today the world lost one of the toughest men ever to walk God’s green earth.
RIP Harley Race!
