The following matches are advertised for the WWE Extreme Rules event that will be held on July 14 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at Wells Fargo Center.
-Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch vs. Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans for the WWE Universal Championship and the Raw Women’s Championship.
-Kofi Kingston vs. Samoa Joe for the WWE Championship.
-Undertaker and Roman Reigns vs. Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre.
-Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
-Drew Gulak vs. Tony Nese for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.
Powell’s POV: WWE added the Smackdown Women’s Championship and the WWE Cruiserweight Championship match since our last update. Nikki Cross beat Bayley to win the title shot for Bliss, and Nese defeated Akira Tozawa to earn the show at the title he lost at Stomping Grounds. The “winners take all” stipulation of the mixed tag match is that both titles are on the line, but if Rollins and Lynch win then Corbin and Evans will not be able to challenge Rollins and Lynch for those titles going forward. WWE also seems to be building toward The Revival vs. The Usos for the Raw Tag Titles, Finn Balor vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the Intercontinental Title, and some type of gimmick match involving Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley.
