Ring of Honor TV Champion Jeff Cobb has worked out an agreement that will lead to him being released from his Lucha Underground contract. LuchaCentral.com reports that the release has not been signed off on yet, but that the two sides reached an agreement.
Powell’s POV: AAA promoter Dorian Roldan oddly issued legal threats regarding Cobb and Willie Mack last week, which nearly led to Mack being pulled from the NWA Crockett Cup event. Roldan eventually agreed to allow Mack to wrestle on the show, where he dropped the NWA National Championship to Colt Cabana. The story also notes that Famous B and Sonny Kiss are attempting to get out of their Lucha Underground deals. At this point, the Lucha Underground and AAA side comes off extremely petty given that there’s been no indication of Lucha Underground holding tapings for a new season.
