1. Yuji Nagata, Manabu Nakanishi, and Yuya Uemura beat Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima, and Yota Tsuji.

2. Mikey Nicholls, Juice Robinson, and Ryusuke Taguchi over Chase Owens, Bad Luck Fale, and Hikuleo.

3. Minoru Suzuki, Davey Boy Smith Jr., Lance Archer, and Taichi defeated Tomoaki Honma, Togi Makabe, Toru Yano, and Michael Elgin.

4. Tetsuya Naito, Bushi, and Shingo Takagi defeated Kota Ibushi, Ren Narita, and Hirooki Goto.

5. Evil and Sanada defeated Colt Cabana and Toa Henare.

6. Zack Sabre Jr. and Taka Michinoku beat Hiroshi Tanahashi and Shota Umino.

7. Tomohiro Ishii defeated Yoshi-Hashi in a New Japan Cup tournament quarterfinal match.

8. Kazuchika Okada defeated Will Ospreay in a New Japan Cup tournament quarterfinal match.

Powell’s POV: The tournament continues on Thursday in Shizuoka with Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Zack Sabre Jr. and Colt Cabana vs. Sanada in quarterfinal matches. The winner of the tournament will challenge Jay White for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship on April 6 at the G1 Supercard in New York at Madison Square Garden.
