Impact Wrestling TV Taping
Las Vegas, Nevada at Sam’s Town Live
Report by Dot Net reader MrEddyG
Xplosion: The Business” Hammerstone over Drew Baker. Hammerstone won with a front suplex.
Before the Impact tapings began, Josh Mathews announced the last two Impacts of 2018 on Dec. 20 and 27 will be “Best Of” shows, with fans voting for their favorite matches to be shown on the 27th.
1. Taya Valkyrie and Johnny Impact over Tessa Blanchard and Moose. Taya got Tessa to tap out with an STO. Moose attacked Johnny with a chair before Killer Kross stepped in. Tessa got upset with Kross, and Moose tried to settle her down. Cage came down to attack Moose and gives Kross a German Suplex, but Kross no-sold it. Kross, Moose, and Tessa left. Cage helped Taya and Johnny up as the fans chanted “Option C!” Cage nodned to the crowd and left.
2. Jake Crist (w/Dave Crist, Sami Callihan) over Willie Mack to qualify for the Ultimate X match at Homecoming. Crist won after all kinds of interference from Sami and Dave.
3. Allie (w/Su Yung) over Heather Munroe. Allie got the pin with a Codebreaker. After the match, Allie got a glove and applied a Mandible Claw. Kiera Hogan arrived, threw Su into the stairs, and finally got Aliie to stop. Su recovered and attacked Kiera, then Allie gave Kiera a Codebreaker.
4. Ethan Page beat Matt Sydal to qualify for Ultimate X. Page won with a roll after a series of pinfall attempts. Sydal raised Ethan’s hand after in a classy show of respect.
5. Jorydenne Grace over Ruby Ray ( w/Katarina). Grace won with a Vader Bomb.
6. Rich Swann beat Jake Crist (w/Sami Callihan, Dave Crist) to qualify for Ultimate X. Rich won with a roll up. He was attacked by Dave after, but Sami pulled him off and tried to make peace. Willed Mack appeared and went after the Crists and gtave Dave a Stunner. He tried going after Sami, but Rich held him back. OVE then retreated.
It was announced that Impact will return to Las Vegas from Feb. 15-17.
7. Trey Miguel over Trevor Lee to qualify for Ultimate X. Trey won with a Double Knee Press off the top rope.
8. Fenix (w/Pentagon Jr.) over Santana (w/Ortiz). No Konnan tonight. The two teams shook hands after Fenix won the match.
9. Moose beat Brian Cage by DQ. Eddie Edwards came down wearing a hospital gown and attacked Moose on the outside for the DQ. He hit him with slippers, a kendo stick, and more before Moose finally retreated.
The moronic turkey suit was brought down by the referees. Why they’re doing this I have no idea.
10. KM, Fallah Bahh, Kikutaro, Dezmond Xavier, and Alisha Edwards over Disco Inferno, Rohit Raju, Jake Crist, Eli Drake, and Katarina. All kinds of mayhem with Disco taking Steam Rollers from everyone, including Alisha and the young referee. Bahh pinned Disco with a Banzai Drop. Disco refused to put the Turkey Suit until Scarlett Boudreaux convinced him to do it because she “Likes A Man Who Doesn’t Take Himself So Seriously.” When he put it on, she sais he looked like an absolute idiot. Disco left, but KM told him to return and announced that it was Disco’s birthday. KM and Fallah sang “Happy Birthday.” Disco got upset and said he would leave if they have no gifts for him. KM said they all chipped in to get him this stupid turkey suit. Disco stomped off and took off the suit, and left to end the show.
