WWE has announced Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe for the Intercontinental Title as a match for Monday’s Raw. The stipulation of the match is that Reigns will lose the championship if he is disqualified. Read the official announcement at WWE.com.
Powell’s POV: This match provides a fair reason for Reigns destroying Joe after their match on Monday. The stipulation is a nice hook for skeptical fans who don’t believe they will have Reigns be pinned or submitted, as this is a scenario where he could drop the title without either one of those things happening. On the first #Raw of 2018 @WWERomanReigns will defend his #ICTitle against @SamoaJoe; if Roman is DQ’ed, he’ll lose the match AND his title
