ROH TV Hits
Jay Lethal and the Briscoes vs. Bullet Club: If superkicks aren’t your thing, I can understand why you may have disliked this match. Even I had to roll my eyes at some points. Get past that and this was a fast paced, action packed six-man main event. Both Jay Lethal and Jay Briscoe came out looking fantastic, and ROH carried through the Bullet Club’s momentum from last week with a good old fashioned hair shaving. Why Kevin Kelly felt the need to use the somber voice for a man being shaved bald however is beyond me.
Moose vs. Donovan Dijak: I remember saying after their first match that this was a bout I looked forward to seeing each year, seeing how much these two young studs had progressed. Unfortunately, Moose’s imminent departure to TNA means that I may not get to see that happen. That said, should this be their last match for now, Dijak and Moose put together a hard hitting showcase of their raw talents. ROH was smart to put Dijak over here. Had he beat Moose a few months a go it may have meant more, but it still feels like a major win. I hope they now use this to move Dijak up the card.
ROH TV Misses
P Dog: I can’t think of a man, woman or child in the arena, in the ROH fan base, or even in the entire human race who could find this entertaining.
Matt Taven: It takes a special kind of commentator to successfully get no one over. Matt Taven achieved this by talking negatively about everyone involved in the match. He even lowered his own reputation, which is really saying something!
