All Elite Wrestling and Mexico’s AAA promotion announced an alliance ahead of the AEW rally in Las Vegas on Thursday. AAA’s Dorian Roldan was featured in a video (available below) announcing the partnership between the companies.
Powell’s POV: This is a significant move on a number of levels. First, New Japan Pro Wrestling has a working relationship with Mexico’s CMLL and Ring of Honor, so this move could seemingly push AEW and NJPW further apart. Meanwhile, Impact Wrestling has had a working relationship with AAA and there’s no telling how that alliance will be affected by AEW’s partnership with AAA.
