WWE announced that Jarrius “JJ” Robertson will be the recipient of the Warrior Award at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. I feel very blessed.” Read the official press announcement at WWE.com.
Dana Warrior (@danawarrior) will present Robertson, a New Orleans native, with the award on April 6. She issued the following statement via Steve Wilton:
“It means the world to me to present this fourth annual Warrior Award in New Orleans to hometown hero, Jarius Robertson! JJ embodies all the attributes this honor recognizes. JJ’s strength, courage, bravery, and ‘Always Believe’ attitude make him powerfully deserving.
“I’m additionally excited to recognize his colorful character, infectious energy, and exuberant thirst for life for which The Ultimate Warrior will forever be remembered.
“Indiana, Mattigan and I are humbled to return to New Orleans and deliver this prestigious award as a full circle homecoming of our own. On the Smoothie King stage becoming a WWE Hall of Famer, at Wrestlemania and Monday Night Raw The Ultimate Warrior exemplified all the attributes this annual award would come to recognize.
“The Warrior Award was created in memory of a legend and given in his honor to those who exhibit unwavering strength and perseverance; living life with bravery and adopting his Always Believe pledge.
“The indomitable spirit, as well as a vibrant character, is well represented in our 2018 Warrior Award recipient, Jarius “JJ” Robertson.”
Powell’s POV: This is the fourth year that WWE has presented a Warrior Award. The previous winners are Connor Michalek, Joan Lunden, and Eric LeGrand. Roberts was previously recognized by the New Orleans Saints, the NBA, and was named the recipient of the Jimmy V Perseverance Award.

The only things Warrior represented were racism, greed, and homophobia. The fact that WWE continues to make him out to be a saint is disgusting (especially since Hogan did far less but is considered persona non grata)
Yeah i don’t get it either. Warrior had years of lousy offensive public comments and behaviour but then is treated like he never did a thing wrong in his life when he dies but Hogan gets caught out once in a ‘private’ conversation and WWE scrubbed him from history. I can’t figure out how that works at all.
