NXT TV results (3/31): Powell’s review of the contract signing for the NXT Championship match at Stand & Deliver, Lola Vice vs. Kendal Grey for a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship

By Jason Powell, ProWrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

NXT TV
New York, New York, at Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden
Aired live March 31, 2026, on The CW Network

[Hour One] Vic Joseph, who was joined on commentary by Booker T, opened the show while a shot aired of Madison Square Garden, followed by shots of the crowd inside the host venue. Joseph narrated backstage/arrival shots of Lola Vice, Kendal Grey with Wren Sinclair, and NXT Champion Joe Hendry…

The DarkState trio made their entrance for the opening match while ring announcer Mike Rome delivered the introductions. The OTM entrance followed, and then TNA World Champion Mike Santana made his entrance through the crowd…

Powell’s POV: WrestleTix listed the venue as being set up for 3,058 with 2,792 tickets distributed. The listed capacity is 5,600. They distributed 3,047 tickets the last time NXT ran The Theater at MSG for the November 18, 2025, television show. By the way, I’m filling in for John Moore tonight. Join him on Saturday for his live review of NXT Stand & Deliver.

1. TNA World Champion Mike Santana and “OTM” Bronco Nima and Lucien Price vs. “DarkState” Dion Lennox, Saquon Shugars, and Osiris Griffin. There were some TNA chants as the match started, followed by brief but loud “Mike Santana” and “OTM” chants. The DarkState trio isolated Nima before and during a picture-in-picture break. [C]

Price took a hot tag and had a nice flurry of offense before tagging in Santana for the first time. Santana put Lennox down with a cutter and then hit Shugars and Griffin with a suicide dive. Santana followed up with a top rope splash on Lennox for a good near fall.

DarkState performed a big powerbomb on Santana and had him pinned, but OTM returned from being down on the floor to break it up. Santana rallied and tagged out before hitting Spin The Block on Shugars. Santana performed a flip dive onto Lennox and Griffin. OTM hit their finisher on Shugars, and then Nima pinned him…

TNA World Champion Mike Santana and “OTM” Bronco Nima and Lucien Price defeated “DarkState” Dion Lennox, Saquon Shugars, and Osiris Griffin in 11:15.

Vic Joseph’s sit-down interview with NXT North American Champion Myles Borne aired. Borne credited Ethan Page with showing him that sometimes you have to do what others won’t do to win. He said Page gave him an edge. Borne said he took it personally that he wasn’t on Stand & Deliver last year, but now he’s walking in as the NXT North American Champion.

Joseph asked Borne if he expected to face “Johnny Wrestling” on Saturday. Borne said Gargano “is right up there with” Page as the best NXT North American Champion. Borne said he doesn’t know which version of Johnny Gargano shows up, but he hopes it will be Johnny Wrestling.

Johnny Gargano walked onto the set. Vic Joseph exited, and then Gargano took his seat. Gargano told Borne to be careful what he asks for. Gargano recalled that during the NXT Takeover days, he was called Johnny Takeover. He said that guy is still in him, and Borne had better pray that he doesn’t find him on Saturday because he would eat him alive.

Gargano told Borne it’s not personal between them, but he pointed at Borne’s title belt and said it was very personal to him. He said if he wins on Saturday, he gets to go back to Smackdown and get his life back. Gargano said he would take Borne into deeper water than he’s ever been in before. Gargano said he wouldn’t lie down and die. Gargano said he would stand and deliver as only he can…

Bravo and Rayo made their entrance… [C]

Powell’s POV: The six-man tag match got the show off to a good start. Santana was really over with his hometown fans, and the OTM duo got a boost from teaming with him. Meanwhile, it continues to feel like DarkState loses as often as they win. The faction never seems to gain momentum. The Borne and Gargano segment was fine. They don’t have any personal issues, but they should work well together.

Backstage, Wren Sinclair gave Kendal Grey a pep talk and told her she would win the No. 1 contender match and then win the NXT Women’s Championship on Saturday. Sinclair told Grey she would be with her every step of the way, but then told her she’d be right back…

“Birthright” Charlie Dempsey, Lexis King, Uriah Connors, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, and Arianna Grace made their entrance. Los Americanos went after them before the opening bell…

2. Bravo and Rayo vs. Uriah Connors and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo (w/Charlie Dempsey, Lexis King, Arianna Grace) in the tournament final for a shot at the NXT Tag Team Titles at Stand & Deliver. Stacks and Grace danced at ringside early in the match. Bravo took out Stacks and then danced with Grace, who didn’t realize he had replaced Stacks. Connors had Rayo down before a PIP break. [C]

King took a cheap shot with his cane that led to Stacks covering Bravo for a near fall. Shiloh Hill walked holding a chair and used it to intimidate the Birthright extras into walking backstage as he followed them. Joseph had to correct Booker, who mistakenly referred to Rayo as Rio. Oops.

El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) showed up and distracted the referee, Connors, and Stacks while Bravo and Rayo slipped the usual objects into their masks. Rayo hit a flying headbutt on Connors moments later and then pinned him.

Bravo and Rayo defeated Uriah Connors and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo in 10:45 in the tournament final to earn a shot at the NXT Tag Team Titles at Stand & Deliver.

Afterward, “Vanity Project” Jackson Drake, Brad Baylor, and Ricky Smokes stood in the balcony. Baylor and Smokes had their NXT Tag Team Title belts over their shoulders, and jawed at Los Americanos…

Backstage, Dion Lennox vented to Saquon Shugars and Osiris Griffin about their losing ways. Lennox said they are the dangers in NXT, not the other way around. Shugars said that when DarkState strikes, nobody is safe. Lennox agreed and said that he would make sure of that at Stand & Deliver…

Powell’s POV: I guess that means we can expect to see Lennox interfere in a Stand & Deliver match. Although Birthright is off to a rough start as NXT’s newest faction, I’m happy the creative team didn’t force it by having them advance to the finals. Los Americanos were a replacement team in the tournament, but they’re more over than each of the NXT teams that started the tournament.

3. Jaida Parker vs. Kelani Jordan. Both entrances were televised. Jordan ran Parker into the ring steps before an early break. [C] Jordan targeted Parker’s left shoulder and hooked her into a submission, which Parker countered with a crucifix pin for a near fall.

Booker said Jordan has developed a mean streak. Jordan performed a top rope frog splash for another near fall. Jordan dumped Parker in a corner of the ring and set up for her One of a Kind finisher, but Parker cut her off and then executed a German Suplex from the ropes. Parker hit Hipnotic and followed up with Deja Vu for the win…

Jaida Parker beat Kelani Jordan in 9:35.

Powell’s POV: What we saw of the match was entertaining, but the standard commercial break took out a big chunk of the match.

Backstage, “Vanity Project” Jackson Drake, Brad Baylor, and Ricky Smokes offered to walk Blake Monroe to her locker room while claiming that Tatum Paxley was stalking her. Monroe said Paxley caught her by surprise, but now she’s ready for her closeup…

Ricky Saints and Ethan Page were shown turning a corner in a hallway. They both motioned for the other to go first. Saints stepped forward, then motioned for Page to go in front of him. They book took a step forward and bumped shoulders because the hallway wasn’t big enough for them to walk side by side…

Tony D’Angelo made his entrance as the show cut to a PIP break. Ricky Saints, Ethan Page, and NXT Champion Joe Hendry all made their entrances during the break and joined D’Angelo at two contract signing tables that were set up inside the ring… [C]

Hendry’s entrance theme was playing coming out of the break. He did his spin before smiling as he looked into the camera. NXT General Manager Robert Stone presided over the contract signing. He introduced all four men, and Hendry got the best pop of the bunch.

[Hour Two] Saints and Page continued to play nice by insisting that the other person sign the contract first. Hendry stood up, took the contract from them, and signed it. Hendry said he knew Saints and Page’s friendship would fall apart on Saturday. He also spoke about his passion for NXT.

Saints signed the contract and said he would make things right by becoming a two-time NXT Champion. Page took his turn and started to bicker with Saints. D’Angelo said enough and then took the contract. D’Angelo took jabs at Saints and Page, including saying that Saints was a failure after being brought in to be the new face of the brand.

D’Angelo said he had no beef with Hendry, but labeled him an outsider, while adding that he was born and bred in NXT. D’Angelo and Saints fought while Page and Hendry squared off. Stone motioned for help. D’Angelo and Page put Saints and Hendry through the tables, and then fought another until security came out to pull them apart… [C]

Powell’s POV: A brief contract signing segment, even though all four men are good talkers. No complaints. They established the friction between Saints and D’Angelo, and they all got a little promo time before the fight broke out.

Josh Briggs stood in the ring coming out of the break. Keanu Carver made his entrance, and then he attacked Jasper Troy before he could enter the ring. Troy battled back and then rolled Carver inside the ring to start the match…

3. Keanu Carver vs. Jasper Troy with Josh Briggs as special referee. Carver quickly regained offensive control. He had his foot on Troy, who was seated in a corner of the ring. An unenthusiastic Briggs made a slow count, but then got upset with Carver for ignoring his command.

Carver went to the floor and briefly fought with “a fan.” Carver intimidated the broadcast team until Troy slammed him through the broadcast table. Troy got Carver back inside the ring and put him down with a Black Hole Slam for a two count. Troy didn’t like Briggs’ count and shoved him. Briggs blasted Troy with a big boot. Carver took advantage and put away Troy with a running power slam…

Keanu Carver beat Jasper Troy in 2:30.

After the match, Carver wanted Briggs to raise his hand. Briggs agreed and then drilled him with a clothesline…

Powell’s POV: They took the two badasses of NXT and put them in a competitive match that Carver won, only to have Briggs get the better of him afterward. In other words, I don’t think anyone really benefited from this segment, but I’m sure it will lead to an eventual Triple Threat.

Backstage, Hank Walker, Tank Ledger, Eli Knight, Sean Legacy, and Elio LeFleur spoke in a locker room. LeFleur said he has torn ligaments in his shoulder and would be out for six months. LeFleur said he would have to relinquish his WWE Speed Championship. He told Knight that the tournament was starting next week.

Wren Sinclair arrived and tried to comfort LeFleur. Shiloh Hill showed up and did his obnoxious laugh as he spoke about how pissed Birthright would be because of what he did earlier. Ledger said they were all on the outside looking in as far as Stand & Deliver is concerned. Hill said he wasn’t on Stand & Deliver either, but he had an idea. He did the obnoxious laugh again and left the room… [C]

Powell’s POV: It’s unfortunate that LeFleur is injured. But with any luck, the WWE Speed Championship belt that he has to forfeit won’t be around by the time he returns in six months.

NXT Women’s North American Champion Tatum Paxley made her entrance. Once in the ring, she spoke about how good it felt to get her hands on Blake Monroe last week. Paxley said Monroe is a complex woman, which excites her. She recalled telling Monroe that she could come to New York City and return her title belt.

Blake Monroe made her entrance and talked about how the title belt feels right in her hands, and she couldn’t give it back. Paxley said they both have something the other wants. Paxley said Monroe has her title belt, while she could give Monroe her first Stand & Deliver match. Paxley said there are parts of Monroe that people wouldn’t understand, but she would.

Paxley said they could “have some fun” at Stand & Deliver. Monroe said it was quite the proposition. She said Paxley would be the perfect co-star to star alongside her on the biggest stage. Monroe accepted the challenge. Monore mocked the idea that she and Paxley have similar thoughts. Monroe got some easy heat by saying that Paxley looked like she belonged in the crowd with the dirty New Yorkers.

Paxley said there’s a worse side to her. She said she could be the goth to Monroe’s glamour or the fire to her hell, but she insisted that Monroe give her the belt back. Paxley got the better of Monroe and cleared her from the ring. Monroe reached in and snatched the title belt before Paxley could get her hands on it…

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviewed Robert Stone, who announced Birthright vs. Hank Walker, Tank Ledger, Eli Knight, Shiloh Hill, and Wren Sinclair in a ten-person tag match on the Stand & Deliver pre-show.

Keanu Carver showed up and demanded a match with Josh Briggs. Stone said it would be Carver vs. Briggs vs. Jasper Troy in a Triple Threat on next week’s television show. There was commotion in the background. The cameras cut to Kelani Jordan, who roughed up Jaida Parker until referees pulled her away…

Powell’s POV: Nothing against Schreiber, but it’s disappointing that the company didn’t renew Kelly Kincaid’s deal. She was great as Quinn McKay in Ring of Honor, but backstage interviewers don’t get to show that type of personality in WWE.

Joseph hyped a video package on “the rise and the fall of ZaRuca”… [C] The ZaRuca video aired…

NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne was shown watching the video in her dressing room while Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid stood by her, and Izzi Dame stood behind them. Jayne said everyone lets her title get in the way of their friendship, but luckily, she doesn’t have that problem with Henley and Reid. Dame said Jayne knows exactly why everyone wants what Jayne has. Dame said she’s made it crystal clear what she wants, and then walked away…

Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair were shown walking together backstage while dramatic music played, and then they cut to a shot of Lola Vice, who made her entrance… [C] Kendal Grey made her entrance with Wren Sinclair…

4. Lola Vice vs. Kendal Grey (w/Wren Sinclair) for a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship at Stand & Deliver. Neither wrestler gained a sustained advantage during the first few minutes. Vice threw a series of kicks that put Grey down in the corner. Vice performed a hip attack. She went for another, but Grey moved. Vice threw a kick that knocked Grey off the apron and then jumped onto her before a PIP break. [C]

Grey had a run on offense, but Vice caught her with a spinning back fist that sent her to the floor. “Fatal Influence” Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid walked out. Vice confronted them. A second referee got between Vice and Jayne. Vice went for a hip attack moments later, but Grey moved, and then Vice hit the ring steps.

Back in the ring, Grey jumped from the top rope into a kick from Vice, who covered her for a two count. A short time later, Grey caught Vice in an ankle lock and prevented her from reaching the ropes, but Vice countered into a pin for a two count. Vice caught Grey in a guillotine. Grey eventually got back ot her feet. Vice rolled her into the guillotine again. Grey started to fade, but then she performed a Northern Lights Suplex and got the three count.

Kendal Grey fought Lola Vice to a disputed finish at 13:30 in a match to determine the No. 1 contender to the NXT Women’s Championship.

The second referee entered the ring and spoke to the in-ring referee. The replay showed that Grey tapped out because she was still locked in the guillotine while getting the pin. A “you tapped out” chant broke out, and then the sound was cut as something was censored. Shawn Michael walked out, entered the ring, and listened to both referees while the wrestlers also pleaded their case. Joseph questioned which one of them would be going to Stand & Deliver. The executive producer credits were shown, and then the show went off the air…

Powell’s POV: Ugh. Let me guess, another NXT Triple Threat? I don’t think the finish went as planned. Grey clearly tapped out before the referee hit the mat for the third time. Rather than point out the obvious, Vic Joseph spoke about how close it was. The fans were all over Grey with the “you tapped out” chants, and it’s hard to imagine that was the desired reaction.

Overall, this was a mostly solid show with good go-home hype. Most of the Stand & Deliver matches got a final push, but I’m surprised they went with a video rather than having Sol Ruca and Zaria appear. No, we didn’t need another marathon promo segment, but perhaps a good brawl in front of the lively crowd would have helped wash away the bad taste from last week’s angle. I will be back shortly with our weekly same-night audio review of NXT for Dot Net Members (including our Patreon patrons). Let me know what you thought of the show by grading it below.

  1. Sensational main event ruined by trash booking. A clean loss would not have hurt either competitor but this mess hurt them both.

Also Blake Monroe is awful. Like Eva Marie bad. Think AEW would take her back??

  2. Didn’t Sol and Zaria brawl all over the building over the weekend at a house show though?

    • That’s great for fans who went to the house show or found it on the social media page. Show it on the damn television show. They shouldn’t just assume that everyone visits their social media pages.
