By Jason Powell, ProWrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

WWE Raw (Episode 1,690)
Perth, Australia, at RAC Arena
Streamed live October 13, 2025, on Netflix

[Hour One] Michael Cole opened the show and set up a video package that recapped Saturday’s Crown Jewel Perth premium live event…

CM Punk, LA Knight, and Jey Uso were shown separately in the backstage area while Cole hyped their Triple Threat match to become No. 1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship for later in the show. Rhea Ripley was also shown walking backstage. Cole, who was joined by Wade Barrett on commentary, listed the attendance as 13,737. Alicia Taylor was the ring announcer…

World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins’ entrance music played, and then he headed to the ring with Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, and Paul Heyman. Once “The Vision” faction members were in the ring, the live crowd chanted, “Seth’s a wanker.”

Rollins, who wore the Crown Jewel Championship while carrying the World Heavyweight Championship, held his hand out. Heyman slipped him the microphone. Rollins welcomed Perth to Monday Night Rollins. “In case you wankers didn’t know,” Rollins started, which drew loud cheers from the fans. Rollins said this is The Vision. “My vision,” he said.

Rollins introduced Heyman and said he is a blessed man for being in his presence. Rollins and Heyman hugged, and Heyman kissed Rollins on the cheek. Rollins kissed the top of Heyman’s head, which drew cheers. “Ain’t no shame in that, baby, that’s love,” Rollins said.

Rollins turned his attention to Breakker and said there were questions about his potential six months ago. Rollins said Breakker has flourished since they joined forces. Rollins called Breakker the future of the industry.

Rollins said Reed was on the shelf six months ago and couldn’t have beaten Roman Reigns. Rollins said that with his vision, he gave Reed every bit of knowledge he had about Reigns, and Reed beat and destroyed Reigns. Rollins called Reed the new Tribal Chief. Reed and Heyman raised their index fingers in the air.

A “CM Punk” chant broke out. Rollins said no one is on his level. Rollins said that, unlike the other greats of his generation, he didn’t need anyone to achieve his success. Rollins said Reigns needed The Shield and The Bloodline, and Cody Rhodes needed Rollins to beat Reigns.

Rollins said he didn’t need anybody and won the championship on his own. Rollins said he didn’t need the men in the ring with him; he chose them, and they chose to be with him. Rollins closed with his “revolutionary” line and then held up his title belt while pryo shot off on the stage…

Powell’s POV: A solid gloating promo from Rollins. Most importantly, he didn’t mention anything about hurting his shoulder during his win over Cody Rhodes, so hopefully that means he dodged a bullet.

Penta was shown backstage. Rusev approached Penta and said he already beat him, and Dominik Mysterio cheated him out of the Intercontinental Title. Reigns acknowledged the Dom vs. Penta match and said he might allow it because he was promised a shot at the winner of the match.

Rusev told Penta he hadn’t forgotten the kick from last week. Penta made his hand gesture and walked away. Dominik Mysterio entered the picture in the background, spotted Rusev, and turned around without being spotted. Penta made his entrance before the first commercial break… [C]

Dominik Mysterio made his entrance wearing the Intercontinental Title and the AAA Mega Championship…

1. Dominik Mysterio vs. Penta for the Intercontinental Title. Alicia Taylor delivered in-ring introductions for the title match. The fans sang “Dirty Dom.” The wrestlers traded chops. Penta superkicked Dom, who fired back with one of his own and nearly fell over. Penta sent Dom to ringside with a head-scissors and then followed him to the floor. Dom charged Penta, who backdropped him onto the broadcast table. [C]

Dom hit a suicide dive that he transitioned into a DDT on the way down. Dom stood up and flexed for the crowd. They sang his name once he was back inside the ring, where Dom mocked Penta’s strut. Dom returned to the floor and tossed Penta over the barricade and into the timekeeper’s area. Penta beat the referee’s count by returning to the ring. Dom dropkicked a seated Penta and covered him for two. [C]

Penta went for Three Amigos, but Dom stuffed it and suplexed him. An “Eddie” chant broke out. Dom went for a 619, but Penta ducked it. Penta kicked Dom and then hit him with a top rope crossbody block. Penta put Dom down with a Penta Driver for a near fall.

Penta signaled for the Mexican Destroyer, but Dom countered with a Michinoku Driver for another near fall. Dom went up top and jumped into a kick, which led to Penta getting another near fall. Dom rolled to the floor.

Rusev ran out to boos. Penta hit Rusev with a flip dive. Dom grabbed his title belts. He dropped the AAA Mega Championship and grabbed the ring bell hammer. Dom left the belt in the ring. While the referee cleared the belt from the ring, Dom hit Penta in the abdomen with the ring bell hammer. Dom tucked the hammer in his boot, hit the 619 and followed up with a top rope frog splash for the win…

Dominik Mysterio defeated Penta in 15:35 to retain the Intercontinental Championship.

Powell’s POV: A good match. Penta never had a near fall that made me think he might win, but it was an enjoyable back and forth match. The crowd liked Penta, but Dom was super over.

Jackie Redmond interviewed LA Knight in a backstage area. Knight spoke about becoming No. 1 contender. CM Punk entered the picture and said Knight stole the pin last week and wouldn’t win this week. Knight chirped back and made his exit…

Asuka entered a room where Kairi Sane was seated. Asuka scolded Sane for losing at Crown Jewel Perth. Sane said she was sorry. She said she could fix it. Asuka said Sane would face Rhea Ripley during Raw. Sane showed off a bruise on her forehead and said it was because she tried to help Asuka, who responded by slapping her across the face…

Rhea Ripley made her entrance with Iyo Sky, who dressed in non-wrestling attire. Cole said Ripley would face Sane after the break… [C]

UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski and UFC Welterweight Champion Jack Della Maddelena were cheered when they were shown seated next to one another in the crowd…

2. Rhea Ripley (w/Iyo Sky) vs. Kairi Sane (w/Asuka). Ripley performed a Northern Lights Suplex. Asuka jumped on the apron to distract Ripley and then dropped off the apron when Ripley approached her. Ripley followed Asuka to the floor. Asuka backed away and was hit by Sky. Sane took out Ripley and then Sky at ringside.

[Hour Two] [C] Ripley caught Sane coming off the ropes and then put her in Electric Chair position before dropping her face-first on the mat. Asuka climbed on the apron to distract Ripley. Sky pulled Asuka to the floor. Sane rolled up Ripley for a two count, but Ripley came right back by hitting a Riptide for the win.

Rhea Ripley beat Kairi Sane in 15:55.

After the match, Asuka hit Sky from behind. Ripley attacked Asuka and cleared the broadcast table. Ripley stood on the broadcast table and pulled Asuka onto it. Sane hit Ripley from behind with a kendo stick. Asuka put Ripley down with a DDT on the table. Asuka and Sane stood over Ripley on the table… [C]

Powell’s POV: This was more competitive than one might expect from a Ripley vs. Sane match, but it needed to be. Sane is viewed as the weak link due to the way she’s been booked in the past, so it’s important to make her look credible, even in defeat.

Backstage, Jimmy Uso complained to Jey Uso that they helped out Roman Reigns, yet they are being blamed for it. Jey said all Roman does is look out for himself. Jey said maybe they should start doing the same. Jimmy said that didn’t sound like Jey, who said he can’t make the mistake he made in Paris. Jey said he helped Reigns in Paris, and then he wasn’t ready for his match and it cost him the World Heavyweight Championship. Jimmy got upset and wondered if Jey thought he couldn’t handle Bronson Reed. Jimmy told Jey to handle his own business, just as he would handle his…

Bronson Reed made his entrance without his allies. Cole said Jimmy couldn’t be 100 percent, as they showed footage of Bron Breakker spearing Jimmy through the barricade at Crown Jewel Perth. Jimmy Uso made his entrance…

3. Bronson Reed vs. Jimmy Uso. Jimmy entered the ring and went right after Reed to start the match. Reed cut him off quickly and targeted Jimmy’s ribs, which he sold due to the Breakker spear. Both men ended up at ringside, where Jimmy shoved Reed into the ring post.

Back inside the ring, Jimmy dove from the middle rope and was caught by Reed, who hit him with a World’s Strongest Slam. Reed removed Jimmy’s shirt to show that he had his ribs heavily taped. Reed dropped an elbow on the ribs. [C]

Jimmy avoided a senton and then had a run of offense. Jimmy hit what Cole called “an Uso in the Wind” and covered Reed for a two count. Jimmy tried to power up Reed, but he collapsed. Reed hit Jimmy with a pair of sentons and a Tsunami for the win.

Bronson Reed defeated Jimmy Uso in 7:40.

After the match, Bron Breakker came out and congratulated Reed. They started to head toward the back, but Breakker stopped and looked back at the ring. Breakker ran to the ring and speared Jimmy. Reed entered the ring and held Jimmy while Breakker speared him again.

Jey Uso’s entrance music stopped Breakker in his tracks while he was running around the ring for another spear. Jey hit the ring and went after Reed. Breakker returned to the ring and was cleared by Jey, who was hit by Reed with a corner splash. Jey cleared the ring and then sold his ribs. Jey and Jimmy bickered before Jey made his exit…

Powell’s POV: Jimmy showed heart by fighting while injured, and Reed came off like a ruthless monster. We’ll see if Jey’s injured ribs give him an out for losing in the main event or if that’s what they want us to be thinking going into the match.

Bayley and Lyra Valkyria were warming up for their match when Valkyria said she still doesn’t know if she can count on Bayley. Valkyria said their tag match was a one-time thing. Happy Bayley laughed at her and acted like Valkyria didn’t mean what she said. Bayley made her entrance, and then Valkyria’s entrance followed. [C]

Theo Saidden and Nathan Saidden were cheered when they were shown in the crowd. Cole said they will star in “Son of a Donkey” when it premieres on October 30 on Netflix…

4. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria vs. Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. The heel entrances were not televised. The crowd sang the Bayley song without running it into the ground. All four wrestlers ended up at ringside. Bayley assisted Valkyria in a dive onto Rodriguez, who caught Valkyria and fallaway slammed her onto Bayley. Back in the ring, Perez got a two count on Bayley. [C]

The heels isolated Bayley. Valkyria broke up a Perez pin attempt. Valkyria tried to get Bayley to snap out of a daze and eventually slapped her. Bayley laughed maniacally and then ran past Valkyria and hit both opponents with a suicide dive. Bayley ran Rodriguez into the ring post and then dumped her into the timekeeper’s area. Bayley rolled Perez back in the ring and hit a top rope elbow drop. Bayley followed up with a Rose Plant and scored the pin.

Bayley and Lyra Valkyria beat Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez in 11:10.

Bayley was intense after the match, but she hugged Valkyria before rolling Perez out of the ring…

Powell’s POV: The broadcast team played up the possibility that Valkyria figured out what makes Bayley tick. The unpredictability of Bayley’s character makes her segments compelling.

Backstage, Seth Rollins spoke with Paul Heyman and said the last six months were nothing compared to what’s to come. He said he felt that something big was on the horizon. Heyman touched Rollins’ arm, which made him wince.

Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed entered the room. Rollins told them that this had been the most incredible weekend of his professional life. He said the birth of his children, marrying his wife, and seeing the growth of Bredakker and Reed are some of his proudest moments.

Rollins said this is the mountain top. He told Breakker and Reed to breathe in the rarified air. He said he felt like they were close to taking the next step. Rollins said he was on cloud nine and no one could knock him off that mountain top…

A video flashed for WWE Survivor Series WarGames on November 29 in San Diego…

A graphic touted John Cena’s 100th premium live event win…

Backstage, Adam Pearce asked a referee to get him an update on the health of Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky. Dom questioned why he had a title match with Rusev next week, and said he seems to be the only working champion. AJ Styles said Dom had a point. He said Finn Balor and JD McDonagh should defend the World Tag Team Titles against him and Dragon Lee. Pearce agreed and told Dom that he could inform Balor and McDonagh…

The broadcast team announced the following matches for next week’s Raw in Sacramento: Finn Balor and JD McDonagh vs. AJ Styles and Dragon Lee for the World Tag Team Titles, Becky Lynch vs. Maxxine Dupri for the Women’s Intercontinental Title, and Dominik Mysterio vs. Rusev for the Intercontinental Title…

[Hour Three] Jackie Redmond introduced Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer, who made her entrance. Redmond spoke with Vaquer on the stage and congratulated her for winning the women’s Crown Jewel Championship. Vaquer said she felt blessed to be the first in history to win four titles in one year.

Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez interrupted the interview. Vaquer said it’s not her problem that they were in a bad mood because they lost their match. Perez said she would be champion if she had been in the title match as she deserved, because she was the last person to beat Iyo Sky. Vaquer said Perez would never beat her and challenged her to stop crying and do something. Perez said she would do it on her time, not on Vaquer’s time…

Michael Cole thanked the fans in Australia and announced the three-day attendance in Perth for Smackdown, Crown Jewel, and Raw as 40,503…

Jey Uso was shown with fans in the concourse. Jey called for his music to play and then made his entrance through the crowd. LA Knight’s entrance followed. Cole said Knight had never won a WWE world championship. CM Punk made his entrance while the fans sang along with his entrance theme. Punk had his right elbow wrapped. Punk came out and motioned for the title belt before yelling it was clobberin’ time…

5. CM Punk vs. Jey Uso vs. LA Knight in a Triple Threat to become No. 1 contender to the World Heavyweight Championship. The fans continued to sing Punk’s song after it stopped playing and then the bell rang to start the match. There were loud chants for Punk, but the fans yelled “Yeet” along with Jey before he ran the ropes and into a Knight clothesline.

Knight went to ringside and put Punk down. Jey hit Knight with a suicide dive on Knight. Jey hit his head on the broadcast table, and he came up holding the back of it. [C] Punk hit Knight with a top rope elbow drop. Punk signalled for the GTS and went for the move, but Knight slipped away and executed an inverted DDT.

Knight hit Jey with a DDT and rolled him near Punk. Knight went to the middle rope, jumped to the top, and then hit a double elbow drop on the way down. Knight was unable to pin either opponent. [C] Knight superplexed Punk. Jey immediately hit an Uso Splash on Knight for a near fall.

Moments later, Knight hit Punk with the BFT and then cleared Jey from the ring. Knight covered Punk, but Jey pulled Knight to the floor and put him down. Jey returned to the ring and dove onto the knees of Punk, who followed up with a GTS and scored the pin.

CM Punk defeated Jey Uso and LA Knight in a Triple Threat in 13:30 to earn a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship.

After the match, Seth Rollins’ music interrupted Punk’s celebration. Rollins walked out with Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman. Breakker ran ahead of the group and speared Jey at ringside. Breakker locked eyes with Punk and then ran around the ring and speared Knight.

The Vision members surrounded Punk (take the Heyman side!). Breakker and Reed entered the ring and worked over Punk while Rollins walked slowly up the ring steps. Breakker speared Punk, and then Rollins entered the ring. Reed went up top and hit Punk with a Tsunami.

Rollins stood over Punk while holding his title belt. Rollins told Punk he would never get the World Heavyweight Championship. The crowd chanted, “Seth’s a wanker.” Rollins had Breakker toss Punk out of the ring. The Vision members posed while the executive producer credits were shown.

Just when it seemed like the show was about to end, Breakker turned and speared Rollins. Heyman’s jaw dropped. Reed looked down at Rollins and then looked up at Breakker, who then approached him. Breakker told Reed to choose him or Rollins. Reed walked past Breakker and then hit Rollins with a Tsunami.

Heyman knelt over Rollins and pleaded with Breakker, who grabbed him by the shirt collar. Breakker spoke to Heyman and then grabbed the World Heavyweight Championship. Heyman raised the arms of Breakker and Reed to close the show….

Powell’s POV: It seems like Rollins foreshadowed the Punk main event win by saying he was “on cloud nine and no one could knock him off that mountain top.” But it seemed odd when Rollins calmly walked out after the main event, rather than show that Punk’s win got to him. The big attack by Breakker and Reed was a big surprise and knocked Rollins off that proverbial mountain top. I fear this abrupt move means Rollins did serious damage to his shoulder at Crown Jewel after all.

Overall, this was a good show, and the big angle at the end of the show made it memorable. I will be back shortly with my weekly same-night, er, same-day audio review of Raw, which will be available exclusively for Dot Net Members (including our Patreon patrons). 1. You knew it was coming at some point but never thought they’d pull the trigger today. Where does this leave Rollins? Do the Shield brethren reunite with a common enemy? If that were to happen the roof would go off any arena they were in.

  2. The Fabulous One October 13, 2025 @ 10:15 am

I agree you could see it coming from a mile away, but more so because they’ve telegraphed it in previous episodes, I just wasn’t so sure it was going to be today… I also think Cm Punk winning wasn’t overly shocking considering it had already been leaked within the last couple weeks that he’d be facing Rollins at the next SNME show. I’d say this show was a decent watchable show, but one that ranks in the fine if you saw, and fine if you didn’t category.
