-WWE Crown Jewel takes place today in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at at King Fahd International Stadium. The show features Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez for the WWE Championship, Seth Rollins vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt for the WWE Universal Championship, and Braun Strowman vs. Tyson Fury. Join me for the live coverage this morning beginning with the one-hour Kickoff Show at 11CT/noon ET. Dot Net Members will hear my audio review afterward.
-WWE is releasing its third quarter financial report today. WWE Co-Presidents George Barrios and Michelle Wilson will co-host a conference call this afternoon. Vince McMahon is not listed as taking part in the call, presumably because he’s in Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel. I will run live updates on the highlights of the call this morning beginning at 10CT/11ET.
-NXT UK streams with an early start time on WWE Network today at 10CT/11ET. Haydn Gleed’s written review and audio review will be available later today.
-The Dot Net Weekly audio show will be postponed this week due to the Crown Jewel pay-per-view. Jake Barnett and I will co-host a special Friday edition and will discuss all the news of the week.
-Monday’s WWE Raw received an F grade majority vote with 33 percent from the voters in our weekly post show poll. D finished second with 23 percent of the vote. Only 23 percent gave the show an above average grade. I gave show D+ grade. I like the emphasis on the younger talent, but the show feels largely uneventful these days.
