-WWE Smackdown is in Atlanta, Georgia at State Farm Arena with the brand’s first show coming out of WWE Clash of Champions. Join Jake Barnett for his weekly live review as the show airs on USA Network at 7CT/8ET. Dot Net Members will hear my audio review later tonight, and my WWE Smackdown Hit List will be available on Wednesday.

-WWE 205 Live airs on WWE Network at 9CT/10ET. Anish V’s review of the show will be available on Wednesday along with his weekly Dot Net Members’s exclusive audio review.

-The latest Ring of Honor television show features Marty Scurll vs. Bandido. My written review will be available today along with my members’ exclusive audio review.

-There are no dark main events advertised on the arena website for tonight’s Smackdown taping. The recent advertised dark main events have been Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Championship, and Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe.

Birthdays and Notables

-Bill “The Goon” Irwin is 65.

-Jim Cornette is 58.

-Masahiro Chono is 56.

-The late “Bulldog” Dick Brower was born on September 17, 1933. He died on September 15, 1997 at age 63 following complications from hip surgery.

-The late Bobby Heenan died of organ failure at age 72 on September 17, 2017.
