Jeff Jarrett appears on NFL broadcast and promotes WWE Smackdown on Fox

By Jason Powell, ProWrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

Jeff Jarrett appeared on the field prior to the Tennessee Titans home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday. Jarrett was the honorary Twelfth Titan. Jarrett appeared at mid-field with a ceremonial sword and then held up a WWE Smackdown t-shirt. Fox play-by-play voice Joe Buck plugged Smackdown premiering on Fox on October 4, 2019 and joked that it would be broadcast by his broadcast partner Troy Aikman.

Powell’s POV: Buck also had a conversation with Aikman during a game earlier this season about the former quarterback’s work in Rent-A-Center commercials with Hulk Hogan. Aikman had fond memories of meeting Hogan and spoke favorably about pro wrestlers. For those keeping score, the Jaguars had Cody and Brandi Rhodes in their owner’s box on Sunday, and now the Titans had Jarrett on the field while hosting the Jaguars.
