The following matches are advertised for the New Japan Pro Wrestling anniversary show that will be held on Tuesday morning in Tokyo, Japan at Ota City General Gymnasium.
-IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada vs. IWGP Jr. Hvt. Champion Will Ospreay.
-Minoru Suzuki vs. Togi Makabe for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship.
-Tetsuya Naito vs. Taichi.
-Yoshi-Hashi vs. Sanada.
-Roppongi 3K vs. El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs. Hiromu Takahashi and Bushi in a three-way for the IWGP Jr. Tag Titles.
-David Finlay, Juice Robinson, and Toa Henare vs. Tomohiro Ishii, Toru Yano, and Hirooki Goto.
-Katsuya Kitamura vs. Manabu Nakanishi.
-Jushin Thunder Liger, Tiger Mask, Kushida, Ryusuke Taguchi, and Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Yuji Nagata, Tomoyuki Oka, Shota Umino, Tetsuhiro Yagi, and Ren Narita.
Powell’s POV: The event will air on Tuesday morning at 4CT/5ET with English commentary on the New Japan World streaming service. The first show of the New Japan Cup will be held early Friday morning and will also feature English commentary. I hope to have my review of the anniversary show available on Tuesday or by Wednesday at the very latest.
