Fox television executives attended Tuesday’s WWE Smackdown Live in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday. Sports Illustrated writer Richard Deitsch reported that Fox Sports president Eric Shanks and Fox talent producer Jacob Ullman were in the front row at Smackdown along with on-air personality Colin Cowherd.
Powell’s POV: Fox is heavily rumored to be players for the WWE television rights and possibly even as potential buyers of the company. So while some folks are getting worked up about Cowherd attending the show after years of mocking pro wrestling fans, the executives attending Smackdown is the real story.
