Ronda Rousey spoke with ESPN and said that WWE is her life now. “They have first priority on my time for the next several years,”‘ she said. “This is not a smash and grab, this is not a publicity stunt. When I first met with Triple H, I told him that there are other things I can do with my time that will make way more money that I won’t enjoy nearly as much. I think the only thing that money gets you is the freedom to choose how you spend your time and who you spend your time with. I don’t want to just be constantly stuck in that trying to make money just for the sake of making money.” Watch the full interview at ESPN Youtube Page.
Powell’s POV: Rousey added that she wants to be a part of the company and wants the fans to respect her. She is definitely saying all the right things and she comes off as very genuine in doing so. There’s also a second interview below in which she declines to talk about her last UFC fights, which are clearly still bothering her. Rousey was asked in another clip whether she could see herself fighting in UFC while working for WWE just as Brock Lesnar has. “I wouldn’t doubt myself doing anything,” Rousey said.
