WWE Mixed Match Challenge
Aired on Facebook Watch
Green Bay, Wisconsin at Resch Center

The broadcast team of Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and Beth Phoenix checked in. Charlotte Flair and Bobby Roode were shown backstage while chatting with fans online…

1. Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss vs. Jimmy Uso and Naomi. Pre-taped promos from both teams were shown. Naomi said her husband was not afraid of Strowman. Jimmy’s facial expressions told a different story until she turned around. In the ring, Bliss and Naomi exchanged shoves. Bliss tried to charge at Naomi twice, but both times Braun grabbed her and picked her up with one arm, which made for a great visual as she flailed away while desperately trying to get at Naomi.

Strowman started the match and dominated Uso. Bliss told Strowman to end it. Strowman scooped up Uso for a powerslam, but Uso slipped away and tagged in his wife, which also brought Bliss into the match. Bliss slapped Naomi and Strowman yelled, “She just slapped the taste out of your mouth.”

Later, Naomi knocked Bliss off the apron onto Strowman at ringside. Strowman wasn’t happy, but Jimmy started mocking him and that led to Strowman chasing him and shoving him into the barricade. Cole made a huge fuss over Strowman chasing down Uso. Bliss took over offensively until she got caught up jawing with Uso, allowing Naomi to regain control.

Strowman ran over and knocked Uso off the apron. Strowman cleared the broadcast table and powerslammed Uso through it. Naomi was distracted by her husband going through the table, which allowed Bliss to roll her up and hold the tights while scoring the pin…

Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss beat Jimmy Uso and Naomi in 10:35.

Cole hyped Rusev and Lana vs. Charlotte and Bobby Roode for next week in the final quarterfinal match. Promos aired from both teams…

Powell’s POV: The show had over 75,000 live viewers even after the match concluded, but I missed the peak number. The two best editions of MMC featured Strowman and Bliss. They are a riot together and the increased viewership for this edition suggests that I’m not alone in that assessment.

  1. These Mixed Match Challenge matches have been great, and Braun and Alexa have been a highlight. Team Little Big is going all the way… in the MMC!

  2. Strowman/Alexa and Miz/Asuka are easily the two most entertaining teams, it’s a good thing they’re also the obvious finalists. Sami and Becky the other one (shame they couldn’t have lasted longer). The three teams with gifted comedy improvisers, basically.

    • I’d agree, Arky. I liked the Goldust/Mandy pairing, too. They’ve unfortunately set up Team Little Big to take on Miz/Asuka in week ten. I’d imagine whomever loses will win the second chance fan vote though, unless they rig it because they don’t want two RAW teams in the finals.
