-Former Impact Wrestling regular Rockstar Spud (James Curtin) was photographed at the WWE Smackdown taping on Tuesday in Newark, New Jersey. You can view the photo at PWInsider.com.
Powell’s POV: The word came out a while back that Spud was WWE bound. He is a terrific talker and his feud with EC3 was among my favorites in Impact Wrestling history. He also proved his versatility by being a very good heel and then playing a great sympathetic babyface. In other words, good signing by WWE.

I still remember when folk said WWE would never touch TNA/Impact talent but there’s quite a few of them now, the most successful being of course AJ Styles who pretty much was pure TNA and now one of the most popular WWE stars of modern times. I still prefer Impact myself (I find WWE really unappealing as a whole) but well done to all these wrestlers for the success. 🙂
