Spike TV spokesman David Schwarz told Brian Fritz of BetweenTheRopes.com that the network is not negotiating a television deal with TNA Impact Wrestling despite a report to the contrary. “Spike TV officials confirm that Scott Fishman was there for personal reasons — and is not negotiating any deals,” Schwarz stated.
Powell’s POV: We have been telling Dot Net Weekly audio show listeners for months that Spike TV executive Scott Fishman has made appearances behind the scenes at Impact Wrestling television tapings. As Fritz noted, Fishman lives in the area, and his visits are described as friendly. In fact, Fritz joined me for Dot Net Weekly on Friday and we addressed all of this. However, a report surfaced on Sunday that Fishman was backstage speaking with Jeff Jarrett about a potential television deal, causing Fritz to go to Spike for official comment. TNA’s current television deal with Pop TV reportedly runs through the end of 2017.

Sure would increase their ratings a lot if they could go back on SpikeTV. Pop’s been good to TNA (I mean Impact) but still doesn’t have the reach Spike does.
