Pre-show: Fans got to vote via social media to see a classic NXT match. Sasha Banks and Bayley from Takeover Brooklyn (my choice) won. Unfortunately, it was heavily edited, not the entire match. They showed clips from Wednesday’s incredible Finn Balor vs. Shinsuke Nakamura match. Both were good hooks for WWE Network.

1. No Way Jose beat Hugo Knox. Knox got “You’re a wanker” chants, being from Manchester, England. Wow. No Way Jose won in about 13 minutes with a leg drop.

2. Angelo Dawkins over Andrade “Cien” Almas. Dawkins was announced from Cincinnati, and got the major hometown pop, winning the match via sit out power bomb. If this guy is not signed, he should be.

3. Bayley beat Billie Kay. Bayley was also hugely over. Before the match, a six year old in the crowd got to try some ring announcing. It was so cute. Bayley won in about 14 minutes via Belly to Bayley suplex.

4. Finn Balor defeated Bobby Roode. No matter what Roode tried in his pre-match, I don’t think he could get this crowd to hate him. Of note, a loud “See you Tuesday” chant broke out directed towards Finn Balor. Make of that what you will. Balor won with a Sling Blade followed by the Coup De Grace.

5. Hideo Itami beat Wesley Blake. Hideo got a mild “Welcome Back” chant. Dueling “Where’s Alexa/You Look Stupid” chants towards Blake. “Beautiful Blake” seems a little close to Tyler Breeze to me. Itami won with his Shotgun Kick.

6. Asuka beat Alexa Bliss to retain the NXT Women’s Championship. Asuka and Bliss are both over in Cincinnati. Asuka retained with the Asuka Lock.

7. Shinsuke Nakamura and American Alpha defeated Samoa Joe and The Revival. The match started as Joe vs. Nakamura, but turned into the six-man tag. A wild and crazy match ended with Nakamura getting the win, though I didn’t see what with.

That was it. No return announced, but this crowd was hot enough that they definitely should return.
