Jonathan Rechner, who wrestled as Balls Mahoney, died on Tuesday at age 44. Tommy Dreamer wrote on his Twitter page that he confirmed the news with Rechner’s wife. The cause of death is unknown as of this update.
Powell’s POV: Rechner’s death came just one day after his 44th birthday. He worked as Boo Bradley among other names early in his career and had a brief WWE run as Xanta Klaus. He is best known for the Balls Mahoney run in ECW, where he often teamed with Axl Rotten, who died of a drug overdose on February 4. My condolences to the Rechner family.
