NXT: Level Up (Episode 130)
Taped in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center
Streamed August 9, 2024 on Peacock/WWE Network

Dante Chen made his way to the ring as the broadcast team of Blake Howard and Byron Saxton welcomed us to the show…

1. Dante Chen vs. Keanu Carver. The red, white and blue ring ropes are back again this week. Carver powered Chen around early in the contest before hitting a massive pounce to take control. A release suplex from Carver gained him a near fall. Chen attempted a comeback but was caught in a bearhug. Chen escaped but was cut off once more with a sky high powerbomb. Chen rocked Carver with punches and chops and staggered Carver with a superkick followed by the roaring chop to the chest for the win.

Dante Chen defeated Keanu Carver via pinfall in 4:45.

2. Lainey Reid vs. Wendy Choo. Reid looked for a tie up but Choo grabbed her by the hair and drove her to the mat as the match started. After a quick back and forth, Choo slingshot Reid into the top turnbuckle to take control. Choo hit a clothesline on Reid for a two count. Choo whipped Reid into the corner who was hung up in the tree of woe and rocked by a dropkick in the corner by Choo. Reid hit forearms and a neckbreaker and looked to finish but Choo rolled through and looked in the choke sleeper for the victory.

Wendy Choo defeated Lainey Reid via submission in 5:04.

3. Edris Enofe (w/Malik Blade) vs. Kale Dixon. Kale Dixon is back after the injury angle from Raw against Bron Breakker months earlier. Enofe dropped Dixon with a dropkick early as Blade supported him from ringside. Dixon rolled to the outside to jaw jack with Blade but shortly took over the momentum on Enofe back in the ring. Dixon hit a series of suplexes on Enofe for a two count and began to work on the back with kicks and stomps before locking in a chinlock to wear down Enofe before transitioning into a Boston crab.

Enofe rolled through and launched Dixon into the air and rocked Dixon with a spinebuster and applied a leglock of his own but Dixon reached the ropes. Enofe went to the top but was caught on the way down with a flatliner from Dixon for a close nearfall. Enofe hit the modified DDT and soon hit the Edris top rope elbow drop to put away Dixon and spoil his in ring return.

Edris Enofe defeated Kale Dixon via pinfall in 7:42.

John’s Ramblings: Another enjoyable edition of Level Up. An easy show to make time for. Watch this one to see a powerful showing from newcomer Keanu Carver and the continuing character development of the now unsettling Wendy Choo.
