Mexico’s CMLL promotion announced that Rush and Dragon Lee are no longer with the company. CMLL stated that the pair were fired for not following programing and company guidelines. The announcement was made shortly after the company’s anniversary event, and shortly after Rush captured the ROH Championship at the Death Before Dishonor event.
Powell’s POV: The early indications are that Rush and Lee will be working independently using different names due to CMLL owning the rights to both names. It’s unclear whether ROH, which has an alliance with CMLL, will be able to continue billing them as Rush and Lee. Both wrestlers are scheduled to appear at tonight’s ROH TV taping in Las Vegas.
