NXT TV spoilers: Full results of tonight’s show including Zack Zimmerman’s in-person notes (spoilers)

The following matches were taped on June 12 in Winter Park, Florida at Full Sail University for tonight’s NXT television show. The match comments are from Zack Zimmerman’s (@DotNetZim) in-person report on the taping.

-Angel Garza (formerly Garza Jr.) pinned Joaquin Wilde (formerly DJZ) in an opening round match of the Breakout Tournament. This match was so much fun. Virtually every spot was something never seen in a WWE ring before, and the crowd responded accordingly. This match did both guys a huge credit.

-The Street Profits defeated The Forgotten Sons via DQ to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship. Jaxon Ryker interfered when the champs had the advantage, leading to the ref calling for the bell. Afterwards, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch ran down to make the save and chased the heels off. They picked up the tag title belts and hesitated a moment before giving them back to the champs.

-Keith Lee squashed Nykos Rikos. Rikos takes the award for worst gear in the history of professional wrestling.

-Shayna Baszler defeated Io Shirai in a steel cage match to retain the NXT Women’s Championship. There was interference from Jessamyn Duke, Marina Shafir, and Candice LeRae. Big dives off the cage from Candice and Io. It looked as though Io was going to escape out the door when Shayna caught her in a choke. Io repeatedly slammed the cage door into Shayna to break the hold, but Shayna collapsed out of the ring and hit the floor to retain. Post-match, Io turned heel when she destroyed Candice with a steel chair.
