WWE playing up Charlotte Flair attacking Becky Lynch’s knee at a live event

By Jason Powell, ProWrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

WWE is playing up the idea that Charlotte Flair aggravated Becky Lynch’s storyline knee injury at a live event on Saturday in Alexandria, Louisiana. Lynch jumped the barricade and entered the ring during Flair’s match with Asuka, which resulted in Flair kicking Lynch’s knee and then hitting it multiple times with a chair. Read the official story at WWE.com.

Powell’s POV: WWE labeled this as breaking news on their website, so we’ll see if this plays into anything at WWE Elimination Chamber or on next week’s television. Flair is scheduled to be ringside for the Ronda Rousey vs. Ruby Riott match on Sunday, while Lynch’s character is serving a storyline suspension.
