WWE/NXT performers Mauro Ranallo, Kairi Sane, and Io Shirai attended the New Japan Pro Wrestling event in Long Beach, California on Sunday.
Powell’s POV: NXT voice Ranallo was in the front row with MMA fighter Frank Shamrock, who noted that he was attending his first pro wrestling event. There was a time not all that long ago when WWE personnel attending a rival promotion’s show and being shown on camera would have been frowned upon by the company. For instance, Robbie McAllister of The Highlanders was shown during a TNA Impact broadcast in 2008 and was contacted by someone from WWE and was ordered to leave the event.
@mauroranallo & I rocking out @njpw in #lbc. This is my 1st time seeing this wrestling style live in person. Very entertaining and when you add the #bipolarrocknroller voice, I can why this style changed pro wrestling in the US. Great show! pic.twitter.com/bzn9MqYo8K
