Dana White says WWE Universal Champ Brock Lesnar is returning to UFC

By Jason Powell, Prowrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

UFC president Dana White stated on FS1’s “UFC Tonight” that Brock Lesnar will be returning to UFC. “Yeah, Brock Lesnar is coming back,” White said. “I don’t know when, but yes he is.” Watch the footage of White making the statement at MMAimports.com.

Powell’s POV: Lesnar returning is no surprise given that Paul Heyman has been making statements in his promos and interviews about Lesnar returning to UFC. It’s also no secret that Lesnar was eying a big money fight with Jon Jones at one time (the Jones fight appears to be off the table due to Jones being suspended). Are we looking at another Goldberg vs. Lesnar at WrestleMania 20 scenario with the fans turning on both wrestlers on Sunday at WrestleMania 34? It’s no secret that the WrestleMania crowd hasn’t been fond of Roman Reigns over the years, and the confirmation of Lesnar returning to UFC could cause them to turn on him as well. However, the difference is that Lesnar has already fought in UFC while under WWE contract, so there’s no guarantee that he won’t continue to work with both companies even though his WWE deal is believed to be expiring soon. If nothing else, the timing of White’s statement is certainly interesting with WrestleMania just days away.

Fooled me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Dana white said the same thing last year around this time, we ended finding out that that was him contributing to Brocks contract negotiation and wrestlemania hype
