UFC fighter Fabricio Werdum noted on social media that he will not be meeting with anyone from WWE to discuss a run with the company. Originally, Werdum told MMAFighting.com that he would be meeting with a WWE official on Thursday, but changed his story in a social media post to state that he’s having discussions about doing lucha libre. “To make it clear I spoke about maybe doing lucha libre in México,” Werdum wrote on Twitter. “Not WWE. I meant WWE style (pro wrestling) but I am a UFC fighter and my focus 100 percent is fighting in the UFC.”
Powell’s POV: Check out his full tweet below. Werdum originally told MMAFighting.com, ”I’ll have this meeting Thursday in San Diego to see if something happens with WWE.” I’m sure Vince McMahon would be thrilled to know that Werdum used “WWE” rather than “pro wrestling”.
Hey guys to make it clear I spoke about maybe doing Lucha libre in México. Not WWE. I meant wwe style(pro wrestling) but I am a @ufc fighter and my focus 100% is fighting in the ufc and whatever decision I make after my fighting career @danawhite @Mickmaynard2 will be involved.
